Rippowam Cisqua School (RCS) invites nominations and applications for the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
The Chief Financial Officer is a senior administrative leader at Rippowam Cisqua School and a close strategic partner to the Head of School. The CFO provides leadership and stewardship of the School’s financial and business operations, ensuring alignment between resource allocation, operational practices, and the School’s mission and strategic priorities.
The CFO will join RCS at a pivotal and promising moment, working alongside a new Head of School and a talented Senior Administrative Team. This role offers the opportunity to bring both strategic vision and operational rigor to a school community that values collaboration, integrity, and thoughtful leadership.
Primary Areas Of Responsibility
- Financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Development and maintenance of short- and long-term financial models
- Partnership with the Head of School on financial and capital strategies
- Oversight of the School’s endowment in collaboration with the Board’s Investment Committee
- Leadership of all Business Office functions
- Administration of employee benefits, payroll, and insurance programs
- Compliance with local and state reporting and regulatory requirements
- Collaboration with Admissions to align enrollment, marketing, and financial aid strategy
- Strategic partnership with Operations and Technology leadership on facilities and infrastructure

The successful Chief Financial Officer at Rippowam Cisqua School will be:
- A Strategic Financial Leader: Skilled in long- and short-term financial modeling, capital planning, budgeting, and analysis that inform institutional decision-making and support strategic priorities.
- A Trusted Partner and Advisor: Comfortable working closely with the Head of School, Board of Trustees, and committees, providing clear, timely, and thoughtful financial reporting and counsel.
- An Organizational Builder: Experienced in strengthening systems, policies, procedures, and internal controls, including the implementation of automated and digitized business processes.
- A Collaborative Leader: Able to lead the Business Office effectively while partnering closely with colleagues across operations, admissions, advancement, and technology.
- A Mission-Aligned Professional: Enthusiastic about the joyful, student-centered culture of a PK–8 school and committed to aligning business and management practices with RCS’s values of equity, inclusion, and belonging.
