We Are Homeland School Company
Homeland School Company (HSC) Limited is an Aboriginal-owned organisation working to establish independent schools on the Djelk Indigenous Protected Area in Arnhem Land.
Guided by local community leadership, and grounded in cultural authority, HSC’s place-based learning begins with Country and is sustained through relationships, hands-on practice and seasonal cycles. Complementing the National Curriculum, this supports homelands students to build cultural identity, practical ecological expertise, and the literacy and numeracy needed to navigate broader education and employment pathways.
With its first school at Gamardi now registered and key government funding secured, HSC is entering a new phase, with additional schools, enabling infrastructure and local employment pathways in development.
This is an organisation that’s moving forward with purpose—it turns aspirations into action to create lasting, long-term change!
