The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring the firm's financial health and supporting strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, coupled with significant experience in the engineering consulting industry. The CFO will work closely with the CEO, executive team, and board of directors to provide financial leadership, develop long-term strategies, and drive the company's financial performance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's goals and objectives.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team.
- Lead the financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, treasury, tax, and compliance.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.
- Manage cash flow, investment strategies, and financial risk.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and business growth opportunities.
- Support business development efforts by providing financial insights and evaluating potential projects and investments.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to optimize project profitability and efficiency.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls and risk management practices.
- Oversee audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Lead, manage and mentor the accounting & finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to department heads and project managers on financial matters.
- Promote a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive accounting financial management experience, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and analysis.
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
