Through an integrated network of behavioral health, primary care support services, housing, care management, and community-based programs, the organization delivers life-changing services to thousands of individuals each year.
As the organization continues to grow, it is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic financial leadership and partner closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors.

About the Opportunity
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the overall financial leadership of the organization, overseeing accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, revenue cycle, grants management, compliance, risk management, and administrative operations.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO serves as a trusted strategic advisor, ensuring the organization's long-term financial strength while supporting operational excellence and continued growth.
What You'll Do
Executive Leadership
- Partner with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on strategic planning and organizational growth.
- Serve as the primary financial advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors.
- Present financial reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and Board Committees.
- Develop financial models, dashboards, and performance metrics that support informed decision-making.
Financial Management
Lead all aspects of finance, including:
- Accounting Operations
- General Ledger
- Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Payroll
- Cash Flow Management
- Banking & Investment Relationships
- Financial Reporting
- Internal Controls
- Audit Preparation
- Tax Filings
Revenue Cycle Leadership
Oversee the organization's healthcare revenue cycle, including:
- Medicaid & Medicare Reimbursement
- Commercial Insurance Billing
- Claims Processing
- Coding Compliance
- Denial Management
- Collections Optimization
- Revenue Cycle Analytics
Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Develop long-range financial strategies that support organizational sustainability.
- Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with grant funding and government contracts.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and healthcare regulations.
- Oversee financial policies, internal controls, and enterprise risk management.
- Manage organizational insurance programs.
- Maintain compliance with government funding requirements and regulatory agencies.
Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Finance Department.
- Foster collaboration across finance, operations, and program leadership.
- Champion accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
- Senior finance leadership within a nonprofit healthcare, FQHC, behavioral health, or human services organization
- Extensive experience with:
- Government grants
- Medicaid & Medicare reimbursement
- Budgeting & forecasting
- Financial reporting
- Revenue cycle management
- Board reporting
- Demonstrated success leading complex financial operations
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills
Preferred
- CPA strongly preferred
- MBA preferred
- Experience working with multiple government funding sources and complex reimbursement models
- Knowledge of nonprofit accounting systems and financial reporting platforms
