Senior NetSuite Developer (CPQ / Configurator Focus)
About the Role
We are building a custom product configurator within NetSuite that will become a primary way our customers quote and order products. We’re looking for someone to own and evolve this tool—from initial build through ongoing enhancements as our business scales.
This role goes beyond development. You’ll work across teams to shape how we quote jobs, enter orders, and move work into production—ensuring the configurator supports the full process from start to finish.
What You’ll Do
· Design, build, and maintain a custom product configurator within NetSuite
· Develop scripts and logic using Suite Script (primarily 2.x)
· Translate product rules, pricing structures, and operational constraints into scalable logic
· Partner with sales, operations, and production teams to ensure the configurator reflects real-world workflows
· Support the full lifecycle from customer quote → order entry → production readiness
· Improve the usability and effectiveness of the tool for both internal teams and customers
· Integrate configurator outputs into downstream systems and customer-facing tools
· Troubleshoot, optimize, and continuously improve performance as usage grows
What We’re Looking For
· 3+ years of Technical expertise in NetSuite development, strong ERP process knowledge, and the ability to design scalable, compliant, and well-governed enterprise solutions
· Strong experience with Suite Script (2.x preferred)
· Experience building complex, logic-driven applications (configurators, CPQ tools, pricing engines, or similar)
· Ability to understand and translate business processes into clean, maintainable solutions
· Comfortable working cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical teams
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take ownership of a system
· Ability to prioritize effectively in fast-paced, high-growth manufacturing environments.
· Proactive in identifying process gaps, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities.
· Commitment to maintaining clean system design and avoiding unnecessary customization.
Qualifications
· Experience building or supporting a CPQ or product configurator
· Familiarity with manufacturing, order-to-cash, or custom product workflows
· Experience with customer-facing tools or integrations
· Front-end experience for UI-heavy tools
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent
· NetSuite Administrator certification
Why This Role is Different
· You’ll own a system that directly impacts quoting, sales, and production
· High visibility across the business—not just an IT support role
· Opportunity to shape how we scale a core part of our operation
· Blend of technical build + real operational impact
