Position Summary
We’re looking for a collaborative and detail-oriented Manager, IT Business Operations, to support the financial and operational performance of our IT function. This is a hybrid role based in Toronto, offering the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional partners while maintaining flexibility.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring strong financial stewardship, operational efficiency, and process consistency across the IT department. You’ll oversee budgeting, forecasting, contract administration, and headcount planning, while supporting program coordination and communications. You’ll also be an important contributor to the strategic planning cycle and financial governance frameworks.
As a central connector between IT, Finance, HR, and internal stakeholders, you’ll help drive alignment, improve processes, and enable informed decision-making across the organization.

What You’ll Do
Financial Management & Analysis:
- Manage and oversee the IT operating budget, including annual planning and quarterly forecasts.
- Analyze monthly OPEX results, identify variances, and partner with Finance and IT leaders on adjustments.
- Prepare accruals and support financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with deadlines.
- Support purchase orders, invoicing, and expense tracking to ensure timely and accurate financial management.
- Act as a key liaison between IT and Finance for reporting, insights, and issue resolution.
Project & Program Support
- Support project and technology teams with financial tracking, forecasting, and variance management.
- Interpret financial reports, identify discrepancies, and help resolve issues.
- Communicate financial processes, reporting expectations, and updates to stakeholders.
- Contribute to program-level coordination, reporting, and communications related to budgets and delivery.
Contract Administration
- Support end-to-end contract processes, including execution, tracking, and renewals.
- Monitor vendor spend, contract timelines, and contractor terms to ensure alignment with budgets.
- Provide guidance on PO management and contract-related processes.
IT Operations & Planning
- Maintain IT organizational structures, including headcount tracking and position control.
- Act as a central point of contact for operational processes and issue resolution within IT.
- Participate in leadership forums to support reporting on key financial and operational metrics.
- Support strategic planning, budget development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years of experience in IT business operations, finance, or a related field.
- University degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Experience supporting IT functions, including budgeting, contract management, and project delivery in a matrixed environment.
- Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities.
- Experience with project management or continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) is an asset.

What We Offer
Salary range: $96,255 - $122,727 CAD annually (commensurate with experience)
