Business Applications Manager |
Location: North Kingstown, RI | Contract
The Business Applications Manager role is a critical position overseeing the strategy, optimization, and daily management of core business systems within a manufacturing and enterprise environment. This position involves leading system configurations, supporting ERP and CRM platforms, and collaborating across departments to enhance operational efficiency and data visibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage core business systems, including ERP and Salesforce, ensuring optimal functionality and performance.
- Configure, maintain, and continuously improve system features to meet evolving business needs.
- Ensure system reliability, data integrity, and alignment with organizational requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and partnerships to gather requirements and identify improvement opportunities.
- Translate operational processes into scalable, effective system solutions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, bridging technical teams and business units to facilitate effective communication and project execution.
- Lead and execute cross-functional system implementation and enhancement projects.
- Contribute to long-term applications strategy, including ERP evaluation, selection, and migration planning.
- Apply structured project management practices to deliver initiatives on time and within scope.
- Partner with teams to develop and improve reporting capabilities, including dashboards and queries using SQL and built-in analytics tools.
- Promote data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Drive user adoption through training, documentation, and change management initiatives.
- Troubleshoot system issues and provide ongoing support to end users.
- Continuously enhance user experience and system utilization.
Required Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of experience managing business systems, applications, or similar roles.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
- Strong understanding of business processes in operations, finance, or supply chain.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and stakeholder relationships.
- On-site work authorization and willingness to work in North Kingstown, RI.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting ERP implementations or migrations.
- Familiarity with reporting tools and basic SQL.
- Background in manufacturing, supply chain, or nonprofit environments.
- Project management certification or formal training.
