Company Description
SafeBets is a pioneering prediction platform that allows users to earn significant rewards through accurate forecasting without any financial risk.
Operating entirely outside traditional gambling regulations, SafeBets has a unique compliance advantage that enables rapid international expansion into markets unavailable to conventional platforms. With a mission to onboard 200 million users by 2030, SafeBets is positioned for transformative growth. By harnessing AI-driven collective intelligence, the platform aspires to become the world's largest brokerage operation across crypto, equities, commodities, and currencies.
We are raising $25 million in our current public round at a $250 million valuation, with a roadmap to $2 billion in total capital across six rounds by 2028.
We are hiring a Chief Financial Officer who is, above all else, a capital architect and relationship builder. The conventional CFO role — accounting, reporting, compliance — is not the job. Those functions matter and will be properly staffed. What we need from our CFO is something rarer: the ability to open doors to institutional capital, build banking relationships across multiple jurisdictions, and engineer the funding architecture that takes SafeBets to a multi-billion-dollar global platform.

This is a growth-financing role, not a bean-counting role. If your career has been built primarily around financial reporting and internal controls, this is not the right position. If it has been built around raising capital, cultivating relationships with banks and institutional investors, and navigating the financial infrastructure of emerging markets.
Primary mandate — Capital Raising & Banking Relations
The CFO's primary job is to make sure SafeBets never runs out of capital and always has access to the financial infrastructure it needs to scale globally. Specifically:
• Capital raising: Lead and execute all institutional fundraising rounds — Series A through Series C and beyond — including sourcing and cultivating lead investors, managing due diligence processes, and closing term sheets.
• International banking relations: Build and maintain relationships with family offices, sovereign wealth funds, asset managers, and institutional allocators in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America.
• Multi-jurisdictional banking: Establish and manage banking relationships in every major jurisdiction where SafeBets operates or plans to operate — with particular focus on markets where Polymarket and Kalshi are blocked and SafeBets has first-mover advantage.
• Financial infrastructure: Architect the financial infrastructure required to receive, hold, and deploy capital across multiple currencies and regulatory frameworks, including fiat, crypto (Unicoin), and hybrid structures.
• Investor relations: Represent SafeBets at investor conferences, roadshows, and private meetings — alongside the CEO and CIRO — as a credible, senior financial voice capable of engaging institutional counterparties at the highest level.
• Strategic partnerships: Build and manage relationships with strategic financial partners including payment processors, custodians, prime brokers, and data licensing intermediaries.
• Unicoin treasury: Manage the Unicoin financial ecosystem's intersection with SafeBets' balance sheet, including treasury strategy, liquidity management, and Unicoin-denominated transactions.
Secondary mandate — Financial Management
Once the capital-raising and banking infrastructure is established, the CFO will also oversee — though not personally execute — the following functions, which will be staffed by a dedicated finance team:
• Financial reporting, audit, and compliance across all operating jurisdictions
• Budgeting, forecasting, and cash management
• Tax strategy and structuring across multiple domiciles
• Internal controls and financial governance
• Investor reporting and PPM compliance (coordinated with legal counsel)
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING F
Essential background
• Fundraising track record: Demonstrable track record of closing institutional fundraising rounds — not just supporting them. We want to see specific rounds you led, closed, and the capital you raised.
• Institutional relationships: Existing relationships with family offices, institutional investors, or sovereign wealth funds in at least two of: North America, Europe, Middle East, Asia-Pacific. We are hiring the network as much as the individual.
• International banking: Experience establishing or managing banking relationships in multiple jurisdictions, including non-US markets. Direct experience with emerging markets is a strong positive.
• Fintech / crypto literacy: Comfort operating in the intersection of traditional finance and digital assets / cryptocurrency. You do not need to be a crypto maximalist, but you cannot be a crypto sceptic.
• Seniority: Experience at the CFO or VP Finance level in a high-growth startup, fintech, or financial services firm. Investment banking or private equity backgrounds with operating experience are equally welcome.
Strong advantages
• Experience raising capital for pre-revenue or early-revenue companies — the ability to sell a thesis, not just a track record
• Prior CFO or senior finance role at a prediction market, exchange, fintech, or data licensing company
• Network in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Southeast Asia, or Latin America — regions where SafeBets has significant growth potential and where regulatory environments are navigable
• Experience structuring transactions that involve both fiat and cryptocurrency components
• Prior experience supporting a company through multiple funding rounds at progressively higher valuations
• Languages: Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin, or German are material advantages given our target expansion geographies
Personal qualities
• You build trust with institutional counterparties quickly. Your word is your currency and your reputation precedes you.
• You are as comfortable in a room of sovereign wealth fund managers as you are on a call with a family office principal. You do not need to be managed before major meetings.
• You are not intimidated by regulatory ambiguity. SafeBets operates in a novel legal category in a fast-moving regulatory environment. You see that as an opportunity, not a liability.
• You are direct, decisive, and action-oriented. You move fast. You do not produce reports when decisions are required.
• You are genuinely excited about the prediction market space and the SafeBets model — not just the title or the equity.
Compensation
WHAT WE OFFER
SafeBets offers a compensation package structured to attract a world-class capital-raiser, not a conventional finance executive:
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience and market benchmarks for high-growth fintech CFOs
• Meaningful equity participation
• Unicoin allocation as part of the compensation package, providing direct participation in the Unicoin ecosystem's growth
• Full operational autonomy within the finance and capital-raising function — you will build the team and the infrastructure from the ground up
• Direct access to and collaboration with the CEO on all major strategic decisions
• The opportunity to be the financial architect of a company entering a $63.5 billion industry at the moment of maximum leverage
This is the kind of role that appears once in a career. The prediction market industry is at the same inflection point the sports betting industry was at in 2018 — before DraftKings and FanDuel became household names. The CFO who joins SafeBets now will help write the story of the next chapter.
