The Opportunity:
The Director of Sales Operations is responsible for driving sales efficiency, scalability, and performance through strategy, analytics, process optimization, and technology. This role partners closely with Sales Leadership, Finance, Marketing, and Operations to ensure predictable revenue growth, accurate forecasting, and data-driven decision-making. Reporting to the CRO, the Director will turn data into actionable insight and strategy into execution.
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Partner with sales leadership to define and operationalize sales strategy, goals, and territory models
- Translate business objectives into scalable sales processes and operating rhythms
- Support annual and quarterly planning, including capacity, quota, and coverage models
Forecasting, Analytics & Reporting
- Own sales forecasting processes to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting
- Deliver insights on pipeline health, deal progression, win/loss trends, and productivity
- Provide executive-level reporting and recommendations
Process Optimization & Enablement
- Design and improve end-to-end sales processes (lead handoff, pipeline management, deal reviews, renewals)
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies; implement scalable solutions
- Partner with Sales Enablement to drive adoption of tools, playbooks, and best practices
Sales Technology & Systems
- Own CRM and sales tech stack (e.g., Salesforce, Dealer Menu Integration
- Internal Reporting for monthly and quarterly client facing meetings
- Lead system enhancements, integrations, and data governance
- Ensure data quality, compliance, and consistent usage across sales teams
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a strategic partner to Finance, Accounting, Marketing, and Product
- Align demand generation, pipeline creation, and revenue reporting
- Support pricing, packaging, and deal approval processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 4–6+ years of experience in sales operations, revenue operations, or analytics
- Strong understanding of B2B sales motions, forecasting, and compensation design
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive change
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Adept at managing ambiguity in fast-paced environments
- Experience scaling sales operations in high-growth organizations
