Basic Purpose
Partner with the team to continuously monitor and drive the overall business results/metrics through effective communication, negotiation skills, business analytics and development of staff. A key element is independent thought, analysis, and assessment of past and future trends, coupled with recommendations to improve financial performance. Establish and maintain a system of internal accounting controls to help safeguard the assets of the business, and to provide accurate accounting records and financial reports in accordance with corporate accounting guidelines/policies & US GAAP.
Principal Accountabilities
- Function as the key business partner with the CEO and Leadership team by proactively offering independent counsel on business alternatives to improve profitability, grow top line revenue, optimize working capital, safeguard assets, and drive the company to world class levels on all financial measurements/metrics. Counsel will be communicated effectively and based on sound analysis (data/facts/trends), using various acceptable techniques which display alternative evaluations and inherent potential risks.
- Responsible for accounting closing and reporting (all month end analytics). Develop and maintain mid-month monitoring of financial progress toward budgets/forecasts for use by leadership team.
- Responsible for management and appropriate treatment of all customer and supplier related invoices and management of the overall cash conversion cycle
- Analyze and interpret financial data identifying trends, opportunities, and profit potential to appropriate levels of management (and workforce where appropriate). This would include items such as coordinating/overseeing an accurate forecasting and planning process for the business, looking at margin trends and guiding the company to enhance margins.
- Coordinate the capital investment financial evaluations for the company and the control of spending on any resultant approved capital projects to stay within budget.
- Develop tools to effectively manage and control activity associated to financial agreements with customers, suppliers and finance partners including banking resources
- Manage vendor relationships as required associated to financial reporting, tax, and compliance audit requirements
- Develop and structure staff to meet organizational expectations and needs, through competency and contribution assessments. Ensure that organization is providing staff the proper tools for success.

Required Skills, Education, and Experience
- CPA license required
- 10+ years of progressive responsibility in an organization, ideally with manufacturing facility controller level experience
- Strong cost accounting background preferred, and demonstrated working knowledge of accounts payable, inventory accounting, internal reporting, internal control, and fixed asset management
- Working knowledge of US GAAP requirements for financial reporting, including a clear understanding of accounting practices and financial controls.
- Experience in managing, assessing, and developing accounting/finance team members
- Excellent communication skills required, both verbally and in writing, for internal and external communications and presentations.
- Prior Plex ERP experience is ideal.
