Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) based in Palm Beach County, FL. The CFO will oversee all aspects of financial planning, reporting, and budgeting to drive the company’s financial strategy. Daily responsibilities include preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing analytical insights to guide decision-making. The CFO leads the finance function through effective management of internal and outsourced resources, fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. This role requires a strong understanding of the financial dynamics unique to the organization, including nonprofit accounting, construction accounting, retail operations, and mortgage lending. Leadership and strategic planning will be essential to this role.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Financial Planning, Financial Statements, and Finance
- Demonstrated understanding of construction accounting, retail operations, and mortgage lending or similar multi-faceted operating environments
- Proficiency in Financial Reporting and compliance standards
- Strong Analytical Skills for identifying trends and business opportunities
- Leadership experience with the ability to guide cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and decision-making abilities
- Advanced degree MBA in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; CPA is a plus
- Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, ideally within corporate environments
- Technology and data-driven mindset with experience in financial software and systems
