Fahrenheit Advisors is looking for experienced, strategic VP's of Finance & Chief Financial Officers to join our Private Equity consulting practice serving clients nationwide. Our typical clients are lower middle-market portfolio companies of Private Equity firms with revenues ranging from $10M to $300M. Our consultants serve our clients as Senior Finance leaders performing the following responsibilities:
- Managing the monthly close process, accounting team and technical accounting issues
- Streamline the accounting closing process, ensuring proper documentation to support annual financial statement audits
- Cash management to include cash forecasting, liquidity management and reporting
- Completion of the monthly reporting package, including full ownership of financial forecasting, financial statements and key performance indicators
- Leading the financial modeling and diligence of potential acquisitions, to include coordinating with third-party service providers and executing post-acquisition initiatives
- Develop and manage the process for integrating required financial data, reporting and metrics based on investors’ requirements
- Overseeing the preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings
- Identify, control or process issues and assist with improving efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements:
Ideal candidates will have 10+ years of experience, hands on finance operating experience as a CFO or VP Finance in a private equity portfolio company or small public company and the desire to serve as a trusted advisor to a variety of clients.
We are looking for highly qualified, motivated, and transformational Finance Leaders with a bias towards execution. Must be willing to travel and located near a major airport:
- Willingness to spend equal time managing the Accounting Process and providing hands on finance leadership by creating financial models, cash forecast and management reports
- Served in VP Finance or CFO role at mid-market Private Equity sponsored organization
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with prior experience leading or overseeing the accounting organization and providing accounting guidance
- Prior experience in public accounting, private equity or investment banking
- Experience leading M&A efforts and executing acquisition integrations
- A demonstrated ability to build effective interpersonal relationships with clients, co-workers and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Ability to model, analyze and report financial data
- Ability to identify control issues within our clients’ businesses and create processes to help mitigate risk while maximizing efficiencies
- Experience with common middle-market accounting software, which could include QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct or others
- Proficient in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
