Role Overview
We are looking for a highly capable Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who can act as a strategic finance leader, operational controller, banking relationship manager, system builder, and trusted advisor to the promoters.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in manufacturing industries, preferably in metals, copper, aluminium, steel, cable, or continuous process industries. The candidate must be capable of building finance systems from the ground up while supporting rapid business growth, promoter wealth structuring, and long-term financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead overall finance, accounts, taxation, treasury, and compliance functions.
- Build and implement financial systems, SOPs, internal controls, MIS structures, and governance frameworks for a greenfield manufacturing setup.
- Manage project finance, capex monitoring, working capital planning, banking relationships, LC/BG operations, and fund raising activities.
- Handle consortium banking, stock audits, rating agencies, financial closures, and term loan negotiations.
- Develop robust daily, weekly, and monthly MIS dashboards covering production, inventory, yield losses, energy costs, profitability, cash flow, and working capital cycles.
- Drive ERP implementation and finance automation systems.
- Monitor inventory reconciliation, process losses, yield analysis, and commodity-linked financial risks.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants, lawyers, and financial advisors.
- Ensure compliance with all direct tax, indirect tax, Companies Act, and regulatory requirements.
- Support strategic procurement and long-term supply contract structuring.
- Build and lead a high-performance finance and commercial team.
- Act as a financial safety layer for promoters by reviewing risks, liabilities, guarantees, and commercial commitments.
- Support promoter family office functions including tax optimisation, wealth structuring, holding structures, succession planning, and asset protection strategies.
- Maintain highest levels of confidentiality, integrity, and promoter trust.
Desired Candidate Profile
- CA qualified only.
- 12–22 years of experience in manufacturing industries.
- Prior experience in metals, copper, aluminium, steel, cable, or commodity-linked industries preferred.
- Strong exposure to greenfield projects, project finance, and manufacturing operations.
- Hands-on understanding of costing, inventory controls, and plant finance.
- Strong banking and treasury management capability.
- Experience in ERP implementation and process automation.
- Ability to work closely with promoters in a fast-growing entrepreneurial environment.
