Chief Financial Officer | PE-Backed B2B SaaS | North of England
We are partnering with a private equity-backed B2B SaaS business as it enters its next phase of growth, investment and operational development.
This is an opportunity for a commercially minded CFO to help shape and scale a high-quality recurring revenue software business with strong growth ambitions and a collaborative, people-oriented culture.
Working closely with the CEO, Board and investors, the CFO will play a central role in supporting strategic growth, improving operational leverage, strengthening reporting and forecasting capability, and building the financial foundations required for continued scale.
We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments and who enjoy balancing strategic leadership with operational rigour.
Key areas of experience:
- Strategic finance leadership within a PE, VC or investor-backed environment
- Scaling SaaS and recurring revenue business models
- Investor engagement and Board reporting
- Forecasting, FP&A, SaaS metrics and commercial insight
- Process improvement, automation, systems and controls
- Governance, operational scaling and organisational maturity
- Team leadership, capability building and talent development
- Supporting strategic initiatives, which may include M&A, integration or transformation activity
What we are seeking:
- CFO, VP Finance, Finance Director or commercially oriented Financial Controller with experience within a scaling B2B SaaS or technology environment
- Strong understanding of subscription-based revenue models and SaaS KPIs
- Experience operating in private equity, venture-backed or investor-led businesses
- High levels of commercial acumen, combined with strong financial discipline and analytical capability
- A collaborative, low-ego leadership style with the ability to influence across all levels of an organisation
- Experience improving processes, systems, reporting and finance automation capability
- The ability to operate effectively at pace, navigate ambiguity and support growth through change
An earlier background in Big 4 audit, transaction services or deal advisory would be advantageous, as would exposure to FP&A, M&A, Internationalisation and finance transformation projects.
This opportunity would suit an ambitious, high-calibre finance leader who is excited by growth, pace, complexity and the opportunity to help scale a business through its next stage of development.
