Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Financial Officer is responsible for leading and managing the company’s overall financial strategy, planning, reporting, and risk management functions. This position is a senior leadership role with responsibility for financial performance, budgeting and forecasting, capital management, compliance, team leadership, and participation in company-wide strategic and operational initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Provide financial leadership and strategic guidance to the CEO, executive team, and Corporate Advisory Board.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, cash flow planning, and long-range financial planning.
- Oversee accounting, financial reporting, cost accounting, payroll, tax planning, and tax filings across applicable states and countries.
- Develop and lead a high-performing finance, accounting, financial planning, and IT team.
- Partner with sales and operations leaders to provide KPI reporting, margin analysis, cost visibility, and actionable financial insight.
- Manage banking, insurance, audit, tax, legal, and other professional service relationships.
- Oversee annual audits and work closely with outside CPA firms and tax advisors.
- Establish and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets and mitigate risk.
- Serve as the primary liaison with outside legal counsel, including coordinating legal matters, reviewing company contracts and agreements, and overseeing legal disputes or claims as needed.
- Serve as the company’s senior risk management leader, including oversight of insurance, contract review, and business risk.
- Direct the information technology function to ensure reliable, secure, and effective business systems, reporting tools, and information processing.
- Present financial results, forecasts, business trends, risks, and key performance indicators to management and advisory board stakeholders.
- Support company-wide strategic initiatives, operational improvements, profitability analysis, and growth planning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience, including significant experience in a senior financial leadership role within a complex, growth-oriented business.
- Advanced degree required, preferably an MBA, Master’s in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline; CPA strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, tax, treasury, audit, insurance, payroll, and internal controls.
- Demonstrated strategic mindset with the ability to evaluate business opportunities, assess financial and operational implications, support long-term planning, and provide executive-level guidance that advances company objectives.
- Demonstrated hands-on leadership style with the agility and willingness to step beyond traditional finance responsibilities to support critical business priorities, operational needs, and organizational growth.
- Experience working with legal counsel on corporate, contractual, compliance, regulatory, employment, and risk-related matters, including contract review, dispute management, and oversight of legal obligations as needed.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, improve systems, strengthen processes, and provide practical financial insight to business leaders.
- Experience in agricultural, food, distribution, manufacturing, or other supply-chain-driven businesses helpful.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
This is an onsite role in Plant City, FL with some hybrid flexibility.
