Role Overview
DTSalazar is seeking a highly organized, systems-oriented Program Manager, Operations & Strategic Initiatives candidate to support operational effectiveness and cross-functional execution across the company.
This role is designed for someone who thrives in fast-moving, high-ambiguity environments and enjoys bringing clarity, structure, and follow-through to complex workstreams. The ideal candidate is both strategic and highly execution-oriented—someone who can connect dots across teams, improve operational processes, and help leadership translate priorities into action.
This is a cross-functional role that will partner closely with leadership, project teams, and a fractional HR partner to support organizational operations, internal systems, and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems
- Build and improve operational systems, workflows, and processes through SOPs, playbooks, etc
- Partner with leadership to establish organizational goals, operating priorities, and accountability frameworks that improve alignment, decision-making clarity, and execution across the company.
- Partner with leadership to improve organizational effectiveness and team coordination
- Help build and maintain institutional knowledge systems by improving documentation practices, operational continuity, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional visibility to reduce dependency on tribal knowledge and increase long-term organizational scalability.
- Increase visibility, accountability, and coordination across active initiatives
- Identify operational inefficiencies and propose scalable solutions
- Responsible for non-people related onboarding and offboarding processes
- Manage vendor and software-stack management for the firm's operational tools.
- Build the dashboard for firm health: project velocity, decision escalation patterns, team utilization, onboarding completion.
Rhythm of the business + Communications
- Help standardize operating rhythms, documentation practices, and communication pathways
- Responsible for maintaining internal and external speaker series, our team’s decision rights framework, and cross project coordination.
- Improve organizational communication pathways, ensuring priorities, decisions, updates, and operational changes are communicated clearly and consistently across teams.
- Support leadership communications and change management efforts during periods of organizational growth, operational evolution, and team transition.
- Create systems, documentation, and communication rhythms that improve visibility, alignment, and coordination across initiatives and operational priorities.
- Help strengthen organizational clarity by supporting operational transparency, cross-functional collaboration, and effective information sharing.
- Translate high-level leadership direction into actionable plans and workflows
- Facilitate communication and coordination across teams and stakeholders
People-systems support
- Partner with our Head of People + Brand and our fractional HR partner on the execution/operational side of people work: performance review scheduling, manager training logistics, onboarding logistics, employee experience programs.
- Support and run internal team survey cadence. Partner with Head of People + Brand to synthesize results, surface patterns, report to leadership, and track follow up.
Program & Initiative Management
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional strategic initiatives from planning through implementation
- Track timelines, dependencies, risks, and action items across multiple workstreams
- Support prioritization, escalation management, and decision follow-through
- Ensure initiatives maintain momentum and operational clarity

Preferred Experience
- 5–10+ years in program management, business operations, strategic operations, chief of staff, consulting, or related operational roles
- Experience working in small, fast-growing, or founder-led organizations preferred
- Strong cross-functional coordination and stakeholder management experience
- Experience improving operational processes and organizational systems
- Familiarity with professional services, construction, design, architecture, or related industries is a plus
