This is a role for a Head of IT who is as comfortable running a project board as they are getting hands-on when the situation demands it. This is a delivery role, the organisation is mid-transformation, and they need someone who will own that journey end to end.
If you’ve led systems transformation at an SME, built and run project plans yourself (not just overseen them), and know how to keep BAU running while change is happening around it, this is worth a conversation!
The Role
An IT Manager who is Project focused. The team is small, which means the Head of IT is expected to lead from the front, setting direction, managing delivery, and stepping in operationally when cover is needed. The business is in the middle of a significant systems transformation, and this person will own driving that through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive HubSpot adoption across the business following implementation, the focus is on execution and embedding, not re-implementation
- Lead CPQ and ERP transformation from current state through to delivery, owning the project plan and reporting
- Run the project board and maintain full visibility of programme progress for senior stakeholders
- Manage vendor relationships and lead AI adoption initiatives across the business
- Maintain ISO 27001 compliance
- Balance BAU IT responsibilities alongside active project delivery
- Tackle legacy systems as part of the broader transformation roadmap
What We’re Looking For
- A proven IT Manager with a track record of delivering transformation, not just overseeing it from a distance
- Someone who has built and owned a project plan end to end, and can demonstrate how they’ve run a project board
- Comfortable operating as both subject matter expert and project manager depending on what the situation requires
- Experience with ERP or CRM implementation and post-implementation adoption (HubSpot, NetSuite, SAP, Dynamics 365 or similar)
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) and SaaS environments
- Experience managing multi-vendor technology environments
- Has worked through a comparable transformative period at a similar-scale business — SME background or Wokingham-area experience is a genuine plus
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills and the commercial acumen to build a business case for technology investment
- Experience in a scale-up, PE-backed or high-growth environment is advantageous
Bonus Points
Experience moving a business from in-house or legacy systems to established platforms would be a significant advantage, though not essential.
The Company
A well-established SaaS business entering the next chapter of its growth. The culture values autonomy and the people within it. This is a business that has built something that works and is now investing in the infrastructure and systems to scale it properly.
