About The Role
Merge is looking for an Operations Lead to help build and scale the operational foundation of the company. This is not a traditional Operations Manager role — we’re looking for a true 0→1 operator who thrives in fast-moving, high-ownership environments.
You’ll work closely with the senior leadership to build scalable systems, and solve complex operational challenges across a regulated fintech infrastructure business.

Responsibilities
- Building operational processes and controls within regulated fintech and digital assets environment.
- Translating regulatory and compliance requirements into scalable operational execution.
- Driving cross-functional coordination across Product, Compliance, Finance, and Commercial teams to deliver on key operations-related initiatives.
- Establishing internal operational tooling, governance, reporting, and workflows.
- Scaling operational infrastructure across onboarding, payments, settlement, reconciliation, reporting
- Supporting early operational hiring and team buildout.
- Owning day-to-day execution in a highly hands-on environment.
Requirements
- Experience building operations within fintech, payments, banking infrastructure, or regulated financial services domain.
- Strong understanding of payment operations, settlement flows, reconciliation, treasury operations, and financial controls.
- Exposure to fintech , and/or digital asset regulatory environments.
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in early-stage environments.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how operational infrastructure enables scale and revenue growth.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and building processes from scratch.
- High ownership and autonomy is essential.
