General Manager, Wireless Retail Sales & Operations
Kinetic Wireless is a premium, authorized dealer for Rogers Communications in British Columbia, with over 20 years in the telecom industry and a Rogers partnership since 1999.We are seeking a hands-on General Manager, Wireless Retail Sales & Operations to lead our wireless retail store network across British Columbia, including the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island.
This is a senior field leadership role responsible for driving sales performance, improving store execution, strengthening district and store leadership, and ensuring our teams operate with strong accountability, customer experience, compliance, and operational discipline.
The successful candidate will work closely with District Managers, Store Managers, Assistant Managers, and frontline sales teams across our Rogers, Fido, and Chatr branded retail locations. This role is not suited for someone who wants to manage only from an office. We are looking for someone who is visible in the stores, active with the teams, close to the numbers, and directly involved in improving performance day to day.
The ideal candidate has experience leading multi-location wireless retail, telecom retail, or another sales-driven retail environment. They understand how to drive activations, improve customer experience, coach managers, manage compliance risk, reduce fraud and abuse, and create consistency across multiple locations.
This role is best suited for someone who is practical, energetic, sales-focused, operationally strong, and comfortable getting into the details.
- Lead wireless retail sales and operations across the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island
- Work closely with District Managers, Store Managers, Assistant Managers, and frontline teams to drive daily execution
- Improve sales performance across activations, upgrades, accessories, customer retention, and other key retail metrics
- Ensure stores are operating with strong standards around customer experience, sales process, merchandising, staffing, cleanliness, and brand presentation
- Spend regular time in stores to observe execution, coach leaders, identify gaps, and reinforce company expectations
- Review KPIs, sales trends, staffing metrics, customer experience results, compliance issues, and operational reporting
- Hold managers accountable for sales performance, team leadership, customer experience, compliance, and store standards
- Strengthen recruiting, onboarding, coaching, employee engagement, retention, and leadership development across the retail network
- Support performance management, employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution in a fair and professional manner
- Ensure stores follow Rogers, Fido, Chatr, and company standards, including promotional accuracy, customer disclosures, privacy requirements, and ethical selling practices
- Stay on top of compliance concerns, fraud risks, sales abuse, policy violations, and operational gaps
- Partner with Finance, HR, Training, Compliance, Operations, and Executive Leadership to improve business performance
- Support product launches, promotional campaigns, new programs, and peak sales periods
- Build a stronger leadership bench across District Managers, Store Managers, and Assistant Managers
- 5+ years of senior leadership experience in wireless retail, telecom retail, multi-location retail, or another sales-driven retail environment
- Proven experience leading teams across multiple store locations
- Experience working with District Managers, Store Managers, Assistant Managers, or regional retail teams
- Strong understanding of retail sales operations, customer experience, workforce management, compliance, and performance management
- Comfortable being in stores regularly and leading from the field, not just from reports or meetings
- Strong sales instincts with the ability to coach managers and teams to improve results
- Ability to hold leaders accountable while still building trust, motivation, and team culture
- Strong understanding of fraud prevention, compliance risk, ethical selling, and operational controls
- Experience with recruiting, onboarding, coaching, retention, employee relations, and leadership development
- Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, target-driven retail environment
- Wireless retail or telecom experience is strongly preferred
- Post-secondary education in business, operations, sales, human resources, or a related field is an asset, but hands-on leadership experience will be valued heavily

This role requires regular travel to retail locations across the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island. Flexibility is required to support business priorities during evenings, weekends, product launches, promotional periods, and peak sales periods when needed.
The successful candidate must be comfortable balancing office-based leadership, field visits, store coaching, district management support, stakeholder meetings, and hands-on operational follow-up.
Base salary range: $135,000 to $165,000 per year
This role also includes eligibility for performance bonuses and a car allowance.
The final compensation package will depend on experience, leadership capability, wireless retail background, operational strength, and overall fit for the role.
