The Position
Seequent, the subsurface division of Bentley, is an innovative technology company and a leading developer of 3D geological modelling solutions for the mining, energy, and environmental industries. Our Leapfrog software products are sold globally, and we are recognised as being at the forefront of 3D geological modelling.
To support the continued growth of our business, we are seeking a highly motivated Sales Operations Manager. This role is responsible for enabling sales teams by generating valuable data-driven insights that support informed decision-making across the business. The Sales Operations Manager (SOM) leverages systems such as CRM, ERP, and Power BI to develop reporting and analysis that guides strategic and operational outcomes.
The role has access to multiple systems that track the sales cycle, software entitlements, and product usage to support effective management of key accounts. The SOM works closely with global and regional stakeholders to develop accurate revenue forecasts and provide insights into performance. They also partner with segment leaders and senior sales leadership to evaluate market drivers and trends.
This role reports to the Director, Regional Operations, responsible for regional performance and revenue.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Develop and deliver regular and ad hoc sales reporting, analyse sales performance, productivity, and cost of sale, and identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities through data-driven insights.
- Build dashboards and visualisations to communicate complex information clearly, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
- Establish and manage the sales rhythm of business cadence, support deal governance, deal desk activities, and major opportunity planning, while partnering with sales leaders to monitor execution and address performance gaps.
- Ensure adherence to sales policies and processes while contributing to the continuous improvement of sales frameworks, practices, and operational effectiveness.
- Utilise CRM, ERP, and reporting tools to support sales operations, identify and implement automation and process improvements, partner with system and data teams to enhance data quality and reporting capabilities, and act as a conduit for system issues and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders on planning, forecasting, performance, and strategic decision-making, while contributing to cross-functional initiatives and projects that improve sales effectiveness and outcomes.
- Deliver training and onboarding for sales processes and systems, share best practices, standardise approaches across teams, support adoption of new tools and technologies, act as a change agent for new ways of working, and continuously enhance processes to support growth and scalability.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- 7+ years of experience in sales operations, sales strategy, or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong understanding of sales operations frameworks, forecasting, pipeline management, sales performance metrics, KPIs, reporting methodologies, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in sales and financial systems and tools, including Salesforce Lightning, SAP, Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint; certifications in CRM platforms, data analytics, or business intelligence tools are considered an asset.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and concise, impactful recommendations.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, collaboration, organisation, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while partnering effectively with cross-functional teams and influencing decision-making.
- A positive, proactive, can-do mindset with a bias for action, strong ownership, and accountability.
Additional Information
This role is based in our Vancouver, BC office, with travel as needed. Candidates based in Toronto will also be considered.
