Company Overview:
Who We Are & The Role:
Aligned Ventures is a fast-growing, privately held multifamily investment firm built on extreme alignment. We operate with the grit and agility of a startup, but we are backed by the financial horsepower of previous business successes. We are investors first, scaling as sponsors second.
To date, we have built a $50M AUM portfolio encompassing 440 doors. We acquired every single one of those doors using exclusively our own capital—deploying over $17M in cash and sponsoring the firm entirely on our personal balance sheet to de-risk the assets and prove the model.
Currently, we are just two founding partners. To reach this point, we have worn every hat, sitting across seven different departments from finance to asset management. Now, we are preparing for a massive institutional capital raise, and we need an Integrator to take over the internal machinery.
The Reality: You will be walking into a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment with a massive mandate. You are not stepping into a mature corporation with a finished playbook—you are being hired to write, execute, and scale it.
We have established the foundations, but we need an architect to finish the build. You will be expected to immediately take over our partially built systems and frameworks and see them through to 100% completion. You will design and implement scaling infrastructure from scratch, map and track KPIs across every department, and hold both internal team members and third-party vendors relentlessly accountable to the fire.
If you need a predefined corporate handbook, predictable days, or red-tape structure to operate, you will not survive here. If you are a builder who thrives on taking raw operational concepts and engineering them into high-output machinery, this is your sandbox.
FUNCTIONS:
1. Accountability, Cadence & Gatekeeping:
- Performance review meetings: Run our weekly leadership and operational check-in meetings. You will control the agenda, document action items, and ensure meetings start and end exactly on time.
- Master Scorecard Ownership: Hunt down missing KPIs from the VP, Property Managers, and external vendors before meetings start. You ensure the executive team never looks at a blank cell on a dashboard.
- Performance Gap Enforcement: When a weekly KPI is missed, you conduct the initial inquiry to uncover the bottleneck and force an explanation before the data ever reaches the founders.
- Time & Priority Gatekeeping: Act as the operational firewall for the CEO. You will solve Tier-1 and Tier-2 bottlenecks independently, escalating only critical strategic decisions.
2. Financial Operations & Vendor Oversight:
- Accounts Payable (AP) Execution: Run the complete AP workflow for the holding company. You will receive invoices, route timesheets to the VP of Asset Management for approval, and stage approved bills for final CEO sign-off.
- Holding Company Budgeting: Maintain and track the monthly budget-versus-actuals scorecard to ruthlessly eliminate corporate overhead waste.
- Fund Administrator Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for our fractional real estate accounting firm. You will enforce their SLAs, ensuring monthly property management reconciliations, capital calls, and investor distributions are executed flawlessly and on schedule.
- Property Management (PM) Audits: Hunt down monthly financial and operational packets from third-party PMs, conducting spot audits to match reported occupancy and collections against bank statements and rent rolls.
3. Systems Architecture & Tech Stack:
- SOP Engineering: Extract raw strategic concepts from the founders and translate them into step-by-step written and visual Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You will continually audit these documents to delete unnecessary steps.
- Project Management Administration: Build, maintain, and enforce the daily use of the company’s internal task-tracking software
- Marketing Operations Management: Manage our specialized external GoHighLevel (GHL) freelancer. You will write their scopes of work, enforce delivery deadlines, and verify that automated sequences and data routing function correctly.
- Investor Portal Oversight: Manage the backend data flow into our investor portal (InvestNext/Juniper Square) to ensure reporting environments are pristine.
4. Human Capital & Remote Team Management:
- Remote Assistant Oversight: Act as the direct manager for all offshore/remote Virtual Assistants, running their daily huddles and enforcing strict communication SLAs.
- Investor Ticketing System: Oversee the remote assistants executing the investor support workflow, ensuring routine inquiries (password resets, document retrieval) are resolved within 24 hours.
- Onboarding Execution: Own the 90-day onboarding checklist for all new hires—handling IT setup, software access, SOP assignment, and conducting formal 30-, 60-, and 90-day performance reviews.
Required Technical Experience:
To survive in this role, you must possess hard technical skills that we will test during the interview process. Do not apply if you cannot demonstrate and prove the following:
- AI & Workflow Automation: You must have intermediate-level experience building functional AI automations and workflows. utilize AI to create operational leverage (e.g., automating post-meeting action items, using OCR for invoice processing, streamlining data extraction)
- Financial Operations & P&L Mechanics: You must have a deep, functional understanding of full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP) workflows, P&L navigation, and budget-versus-variance reporting. You must know the exact mathematical and accounting differences between CapEx and OpEx, and possess the ability to instantly spot a variance on a property rent roll.
- Project Management Architecture: You must possess expert-level proficiency in configuring, structuring, and managing enterprise task-tracking software
- Data Aggregation & Process Mapping: You must have advanced spreadsheet proficiency to consolidate disparate, messy data sets from external property managers and accountants into clean, executive-facing dashboards. You must know how to utilize tools like Lucidchart, Miro, or Tango to visually and textually document complex operational workflows.
- CRM & Systems Architecture: You must have a conceptual, working understanding of CRM architecture (tags, triggers, pipelines). You must also possess the technical aptitude to oversee backend data flow into investor portals (e.g., InvestNext, Juniper Square) to keep reporting environments pristine.
Compensation & Upside:
- Base Salary: $130,000 – $160,000 (Commensurate with experience and location).
- Performance Bonus: 15% – 20% annual target, paid out quarterly. This is not a discretionary "effort" bonus; it is tied strictly to KPI’s and outcomes
- The C-Suite Unlock (Equity & Promote): This role is on an explicit trajectory to Chief Operating Officer (COO). Upon successfully hitting the scaling milestones and officially earning the COO title, you will unlock exclusive participation in the firm's General Partnership (GP) promote pool and long-term profit share.
