About the Role
This is a Co-Founding Role and will require around 60 days SWEAT EQUITY, salary commences after Pre-Seed
Our Team is an ELITE unicorn ready unit. You should be at the same level.
CHIC is a pre-revenue Delaware C-Corporation building the first institutional-grade B2B infrastructure platform connecting large self-insured Fortune 500 employers with elite US hospital systems through standardised, pre-purchased clinical capacity contracts, settled via institutional commercial payment rails.
The founding team is fully assembled — commercial, technology, clinical, and scientific leadership are all in place, including a CEO with a prior founding exit and a KKR advisory relationship, a CTO currently building regulated fintech infrastructure for US banks, a CMO who is Vice Chair of Outpatient Operations at NYU Langone Health, and a CSO with established relationships across major hospital systems, Fortune 500 companies, and payment networks.
The architecture is built. The legal classification work is underway with founding counsel. The supply-side and demand-side conversations are already in motion. What this venture needs now is a CFO who can move at the same speed as everything else — someone who can close a pre-seed round fast, build the financial infrastructure investors expect to see, and set the foundation for the institutional rounds that follow.
What You'll Do
Co-lead the pre-seed raise alongside the CEO — hands-on, in the room, from day one. This is not a back-office CFO role for the first 90 days; it is an active fundraising mandate. Build the financial model, data room, and investor materials to institutional standard. Lead all SAFE documentation and investor-facing financial communications. Establish the financial infrastructure — accounting, treasury, reporting — that scales cleanly from pre-seed through Series A and beyond. Bring your own network to the table — relationships with angel investors, family offices, and institutional funds active at the pre-seed stage are as valuable as your relationships for later rounds.
Who You Are
A CFO with a demonstrated track record of closing capital raises — not just larger institutional rounds, but the smaller, faster pre-seed and seed raises where speed and personal relationships matter most. You have closed deals with major banks, strategic investors, or institutional funds, and you also know how pre-seed actually gets done — warm introductions, fast diligence, and founders who move quickly. You operate at speed. The team has done the architecture, legal, and relationship-building work — your job is to execute, and execute fast. Comfortable as a hands-on operator in a founding team, not just a finance function leader — this is a co-founder mandate, not an executive hire. Healthcare, fintech, or B2B infrastructure experience is a strong advantage given the nature of the platform.
Founding Equity & Compensation Structure
This is a founding co-founder role. Founding equity allocation, four-year reverse vest with twelve-month cliff, double-trigger acceleration on change of control. Compensation transitions from founding equity to operational salary on pre-seed close, and to full market-rate executive compensation on Series A or equivalent milestone.
To Apply
If you have the network and the track record to close a pre-seed round at speed alongside a fully assembled founding team, send a brief summary of your capital raising track record — across both institutional and early-stage rounds — and your most relevant investor relationships to the founding team. All communications held in strict professional confidence.
