Discovery Infrastructure Group (DIG) is a data center and utility-scale power platform company raising capital to develop, build, and operate integrated data center campuses across our development pipeline. DIG’s platform combines hyperscale-grade data center capacity with Utility-Grade-Power private power generation and storage, delivering firm, clean, cost-competitive power to the world’s largest technology companies without dependence on the public grid queue. Our customers include the hyperscale and AI infrastructure operators driving the current wave of compute build-out. We are seeking a CFO with experience in Data Center Development, REITs, Hyperscaler relationships, and Mission Critical Real Estate Development.
DIG is looking for seasoned financial executive, VP of Finance, Director of Finance or above, who has operated at the intersection of data center development, real estate finance, and infrastructure capital markets. The CFO will lead the budgeting and architect of the company’s capital stack, the steward of its project-level financings, and work with institutional lenders, equity partners, and hyperscale customers. This person must understand the data center business from the inside: how Data Center REITs are capitalized, how hyperscale customers evaluate a developer, and what mission-critical real estate development requires at every stage from land control through certificate of occupancy.
Required Experience
- Seasoned financial executive — VP of Finance or above — with a minimum of 10 years of progressive finance leadership; prior CFO or divisional CFO title strongly preferred
- Must understand the data center business: data center development, Data Center REIT, or hyperscale infrastructure finance
- Demonstrated track record of closing infrastructure project financings — construction loans, term debt, tax equity — at $200M+ per transaction;
- Direct experience with Data Center REIT capital structures and the financial metrics institutional data center investors require: cap rates, NOI, lease-up assumptions, EBITDA multiples, and stabilized asset valuations
- Experience working with or for hyperscale customers (AWS, Microsoft, Google, Meta, Oracle, Apple, xAI, OpenAI, CoreWeave, or comparable operators) in a financial, commercial, or development capacity; understands their procurement process, financial requirements, and contract structures
- Mission critical real estate development finance experience: has managed the financial controls, CapEx governance, and lender reporting on large-scale mission-critical construction programs

- CFO, Director of Finance: Digital Realty, Equinix, Vantage Data Centers, QTS, CyrusOne, Iron Mountain, Compass Datacenters, Aligned Data Centers, Switch, or experience with Data Center Infrastructure
- Infrastructure private equity portfolio company CFO with data center or digital infrastructure exposure: Brookfield Infrastructure, KKR Infrastructure, Blackstone Infrastructure, Macquarie Infrastructure, Digital Bridge.
- Investment banking MD or Director — data center, real estate, or infrastructure coverage.
- Hyperscaler real estate or infrastructure finance: VP Finance or Head of Infrastructure Finance at AWS, Google, Microsoft, Meta, Oracle, or Apple; candidates who have managed the financial side of large-scale data center development programs
- Renewable energy or utility-scale power developer CFO with project finance closing experience and familiarity with data center power economics: NextEra Resources, AES Clean Energy, Apex Clean Energy, Invenergy.
