Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location: Southeastern Pennsylvania (19518)
Schedule: Full-time, onsite
Compensation: $200,000–$225,000 base salary
The Opportunity
We are partnering with a well-established, privately held manufacturing organization to identify a Chief Financial Officer who will play a key role in the company’s next phase of growth and operational development. This is a newly created executive leadership position with significant visibility across the organization. The CFO will work closely with ownership and senior leadership, lead the company’s financial strategy, and oversee an established accounting and finance function.
The business operates in a highly customized, project-driven manufacturing environment and supports customers across a variety of industrial and technical markets. In addition to manufacturing, the organization provides ongoing service and support to its customer base. This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on financial executive who enjoys being close to the business, partnering with operations, and helping leadership make better decisions through strong financial visibility.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a strategic financial partner to ownership and senior leadership
- Lead the Accounting & Finance organization through an established Controller
- Own budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, financial reporting, and trend analysis
- Provide greater visibility into project and job-level profitability
- Oversee financial performance in a custom-costing and project-based environment
- Support complex revenue recognition and percentage-of-completion accounting
- Partner with outside accounting, tax, banking, insurance, and lending relationships
- Provide financial guidance around capital investments and long-term planning
- Support a major ERP and business systems transformation
- Improve financial processes, reporting, controls, and overall business intelligence
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, purchasing, facilities, and other business leaders
- Develop and mentor the finance organization
- Help leadership evaluate strategic initiatives, investments, and growth opportunities
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is an experienced financial leader who can operate beyond traditional accounting and serve as a true business partner.
We’re looking for:
- 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Senior financial leadership experience within an operating company
- Strong understanding of both strategic finance and accounting
- Experience with project profitability, job costing, custom costing, or percentage-of-completion accounting
- Background in manufacturing, construction, distribution, service, project-based, or other operationally complex environments
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, and financial analysis experience
- Experience leading and developing accounting and finance teams
- Experience supporting an ERP implementation or significant systems transformation
- Ability to work effectively in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment
- Strong communication skills and executive presence
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline preferred
Nice to Have
- CPA and/or MBA
- ERP implementation experience
- Experience within a custom or project-driven manufacturing environment
- Experience improving reporting, financial controls, or business processes
- Interest in using automation and technology to improve finance operations
