Chaudhary Group (CG) is seeking a highly accomplished Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its Corporate & Family Office operations in Nepal. The CFO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for driving financial strategy, governance, investment management, and long-term wealth preservation across the Group’s corporate holdings and family office portfolio.
This role requires a seasoned finance leader with strong expertise in complex group structures, investment oversight, treasury management, taxation, compliance, and corporate governance within both Nepalese and international frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance management across corporate and family office portfolios. Ensure alignment of financial strategy with long-term value creation, capital growth, and wealth preservation objectives.
Oversee liquidity management, cash flow, capital allocation, and funding strategies. Ensure efficient deployment of funds across business and investment portfolios while maintaining financial stability and risk control.
- Investment management & portfolio oversight
Manage investment evaluation, asset allocation, and portfolio performance. Drive disciplined investment decisions to ensure sustainable returns and long-term wealth growth.
- Financial reporting & compliance
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with NFRS/IFRS and regulatory requirements. Strengthen reporting systems for transparency and effective decision-making.
- Governance & risk management
Maintain strong governance frameworks, internal controls, and risk management systems across all entities, ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
- Taxation & regulatory coordination
Lead tax planning and compliance while coordinating with auditors, legal advisors, and regulatory authorities to ensure adherence to applicable laws and efficient structuring.
- Strategic advisory & leadership
Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to the Board and Family Principals. Lead and develop a high-performing finance and investment team.
Qualifications & Experience
- CA/CPA/ACCA/CFA or equivalent (MBA Finance preferred)
- 18+ years of finance experience, including senior leadership roles (CFO/Group Finance Head/Investment Head)
- Strong experience in conglomerate or family office environments
- Expertise in investment management, treasury, and corporate finance
- Strong knowledge of Nepalese tax and regulatory frameworks with exposure to IFRS/NFRS
- High integrity, leadership capability, and strong strategic mindset
