Roles & Responsibilities:
Development and Customization:
Design, develop, and implement custom Apex code (triggers, classes, components) to extend and enhance Salesforce CPQ functionality.
Build custom user interfaces using Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), or Aura components to streamline quoting and configuration processes.
Configure product bundles, pricing rules, discount schedules, quote templates, and approval workflows to meet specific business requirements.
Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing within the development team.
Document and develop code according to specifications and standards; clearly documenting technical solutions and design decisions.
Analysis and Planning:
Be a part of the Sales cloud team, working with IT and Business Groups to analyze and review business, functional, and technical requirements and issues, design solutions, and plan and execute CPQ solutions and enhancements. Work closely with business analysts, Sales Operations, product teams, and other IT stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Integration and Maintenance:
Develop and maintain integrations between CPQ and other Salesforce applications and external systems (such as ERP, CRM, and payment gateways) using Salesforce & 3rd party APIs (REST, SOAP).
Support existing integrations between Salesforce and other boundary systems and develop new interfaces as needed.
Create and maintain custom objects, fields, and relationships within Salesforce to support CPQ data models.
Maintain and troubleshoot existing CPQ configurations.
Support and Collaboration:
Provide Tier 1, 2, and 3 support to the business users in case of Priority 1 issues with the system. Investigate and resolve technical issues related to CPQ functionality, performance, and data integrity. Participate in project team meetings and communicate effectively with peers, architects, system analysts, business analysts, project managers, quality control, and across other technology team boundaries, reporting project status as required.
Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding.
Key Qualifications For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team:
Experience & Certifications:
At least 5+ years’ experience working in the IT industry.
Minimum of 3+ years of Sales cloud experience, particularly Salesforce CPQ, with hands-on experience in at least one large full lifecycle Salesforce CPQ Implementation.
Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist.
Salesforce CPQ & Platform Expertise:
Proven experience in Salesforce CPQ development and administration.
Deep understanding of CPQ architecture, data models, and configuration options.
Knowledge of CPQ best practices and industry standards.
Strong expertise developing custom applications on the Salesforce Force.com platform using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning (LWC in particular).
Strong understanding of Salesforce Declarative, Programming and Administration (Flows, custom objects, reports, assignment rules, and more).
Knowledge of APEX triggers/SOQL queries, SOSL, and stored procedures.
Experience with Salesforce.com Web Services APIs and integration patterns.
Technical Skills:
Solid understanding of web technologies, such as HTTP, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, DHTML, and CSS, and a solid understanding of Object-Oriented design and programming concepts.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and development best practices.
Knowledge on integrated technologies such as Jira, Marketing Automation, and Cloud Solutions is a plus. Integration experience with Oracle ERP is a plus.
