A mission‑driven senior living organization is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead financial strategy and operations across a multi‑entity system. Position Overview
The CFO provides strategic and operational leadership for all financial functions, including budgeting, financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, cash management, investments, and forecasting. This role partners closely with the CEO on long‑ and short‑range planning and oversees key administrative areas such as information systems, insurance programs, and banking relationships.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead preparation of annual operating and capital budgets
- Produce accurate monthly financial statements and reports
- Maintain relationships with external auditors and recommend audit partners
- Provide financial guidance to the CEO and senior leadership
- Oversee IT hardware, software, implementation, and system maintenance
- Establish and monitor cost centers and financial controls
- Participate in Finance and Investment Committee meetings
- Manage organizational insurance programs
- Oversee payroll systems and accounts receivable
- Maintain banking relationships, trust fund oversight, and credit line management
- Oversee tax filings, cost reports, and the 403(b) plan audit
- Ensure appropriate cash flow management and fund allocation
- Review monthly census reports and ensure alignment with Medicare, Medicaid, and private‑pay billing
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality, safety standards, and accreditation requirements (CARF/CCAC)
- Promote a culture of respect, diversity, and mission‑driven service
Supervisory Responsibilities
The CFO oversees multiple financial and administrative departments, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, workflow planning, and employee development. This role ensures compliance with organizational policies and fosters a collaborative, high‑performance culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive financial management experience in a senior leadership role
- Healthcare or senior‑living industry experience strongly preferred
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven leadership ability with a track record of developing teams and driving results
- Ability to manage multiple financial functions including budgeting, reporting, payroll, and compliance
