For our client, we are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join the team of a leader in the Education, Government & Non-Profit space. This role will lead continuous improvement work focused on process discipline, productivity, and measurable operating gains. You will partner with operational leaders and project stakeholders to standardize workflows, identify bottlenecks, and improve execution quality. The position offers the opportunity to create measurable efficiency gains and scalable operational improvements within a mission-driven environment.
Location: Los Angeles, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $300,000 – $350,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Partner with the CEO to execute financial strategy aligned with mission impact
- Identify and implement opportunities to modernize financial systems
- Design and implement financial models for strategic decision-making
- Champion continuous improvement using data and technology
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting with cross-functional leaders
- Develop financial models to evaluate program effectiveness and growth strategies
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
Qualifications
- MBA, CPA, or equivalent experience preferred
- 12+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
- Success in leading financial transformation, including systems implementation
- Experience with blended revenue models and diverse funding streams
- Strong understanding of data, technology, and analytics in finance
