About Octopus Community
Real connections happen in niche communities, not on mega-platforms anymore. We're building a future where every brand federates its community on its own social network — all powered and interconnected by Octopus Community.
⚙️ How? By offering an AI-powered SDK and SaaS platform that brands integrate into their app or website to launch, animate, and truly understand their own community of enthusiasts, customers, or users. We handle everything: UI, backend, infrastructure, moderation, and analytics — fully embedded, fully branded. Live in hours, not months.
👯 The team
120+ years of combined experience across mobile, entrepreneurship, and community.
- 3 co-founders, mobile experts with over 20 years in the industry, who have known each other for 10 years. Together, they have already built and sold a leading Adtech company specializing in User Acquisition for mobile apps, as well as a mobile game studio that produced 4 social games and generated 10 million downloads.
- A lean, senior team: 5 developers across mobile, front-end, and back-end, 1 product manager, 3 business developers. No layers, no hand-holding: everyone owns their domain and ships with full accountability.
💰 Traction & funding
Backed by €2.5M in pre-seed funding from Cassius VC (US lead), 3 French funds, BPI France, and ~20 industry business angels. 40+ communities live or launching soon — including household names like Sephora, Clue, and 20 Minutes, as well as agile pure players across verticals.
📈 Why join now
The product is proven, the pipeline is growing, and we're now building the sales infrastructure to scale. This is the moment to shape how Octopus goes to market.
What you'll do
- Pipeline Generation: Own the top of the funnel. Identify, map, and prospect key decision-makers (CMOs, CPOs, Growth Marketers, Product leaders, etc.) within mobile app businesses globally.
- Inbound & Outbound Mastery: Execute multi-channel outreach strategies (Email, LinkedIn, Video, Phone) to turn cold accounts into warm, qualified discovery calls for our Account Executives and set meetings ahead of key events.
- HubSpot Champion: Keep our CRM pristine. Track every interaction, manage pipelines seamlessly, and build data-driven lists within HubSpot.
- AI & Automation Builder: Don't just use AI — build with it. Design, ship, and own automation flows (enrichment, scraping, lead scoring, hyper-personalization at scale) that connect your stack (HubSpot, Lemlist, Clay-type tools, LLMs/agents) — and measure their impact: time saved, volume generated, reply and meeting rates.
- Global Networking: Navigate a global market, understanding the unique community and engagement needs of different regions and app verticals (Gaming, FinTech, Health & Fitness, E-commerce, etc).
Who you are
- The SaaS hunter: You have 2+ years of experience in an SDR or outbound growth role, preferably within SaaS or mobile app ecosystems.
- AI & automation builder: You don't just use AI, you build with it. We're looking for someone who turns AI into a repeatable system: enrichment flows, lead scoring, hyper-personalization at scale. Using ChatGPT to draft an email is table stakes here.
- Data-driven: Comfortable with reporting and KPI tracking. You know which metrics matter (reply rates, meeting rates, pipeline velocity) and you use them to iterate, not just to report.
- CRM tools native: You know your way around HubSpot CRM,Lemlist workflows, and sequences. If it’s not in HubSpot, it didn't happen.
- Community enthusiast: You believe brands should own their user relationships. You can speak confidently about retention, zero-party data, trust-building, and the business case for giving users a reason to stay.
- Globally minded: Excellent written and verbal English skills (extra languages are a massive plus) with the cultural awareness to pitch to a lead in Berlin, Tokyo, or San Francisco.
We’re a small, agile team: your adaptability and dedication will be critical to our success. If this sounds like you, and you’re genuinely nice 🙂, we’d love to meet you!
