For our client, we are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join the team of a leader in the Education, Government & Non-Profit space. This role will lead continuous improvement work focused on process discipline, productivity, and measurable operating gains. You will partner with operational leaders and project stakeholders to standardize workflows, identify bottlenecks, and improve execution quality. The position offers the opportunity to create measurable efficiency gains and scalable operational improvements within a mission-driven environment.
Location: Wilmington, DE - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $300,000 – $350,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Partner with CEO and leadership to strategize financial growth and mission support
- Identify and implement modern financial systems and innovative approaches
- Lead the design of financial models to guide strategic investments
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through technology and best practices
- Manage budgeting and forecasting in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial performance monitoring
- Streamline and standardize financial operations for efficiency
Qualifications
- MBA, CPA, or equivalent experience is preferred
- 12+ years of progressive financial leadership in complex or growing organizations
- Proven track record of leading financial transformation and process improvement
- Experience managing blended revenue models and diverse funding streams is advantageous
- Strong analytical skills with emphasis on data-driven decision-making
