Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals to foster growth and stability
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and governmental accounting standards
- Lead the preparation of detailed financial reports, profit & loss statements, and variance analyses to inform executive decision-making
- Manage risk assessment processes and establish internal controls in compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements
- Direct corporate finance activities such as capital structure management, investment analysis, and funding strategies
- Supervise accounting functions including general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and compliance with non-profit accounting standards if applicable
- Drive business development initiatives by analyzing financial data to identify opportunities for revenue growth and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with management on strategic planning, organizational improvements, and long-term financial goals
- Oversee the selection and implementation of financial software systems to enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency
- Lead negotiations with financial service providers, auditors, and other stakeholders to secure favorable terms
Experience
- Proven experience as a Chief Financial Officer or senior finance executive within a complex organization or non-profit environment
- Extensive knowledge of financial sales strategies, negotiation techniques, and business development practices
- Strong background in non-profit accounting, governmental accounting standards, and technical accounting principles such as GAAP and SOX compliance
- Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning processes
- Proficiency in managing corporate finance functions including profit & loss management, risk management, and organizational leadership
- Skilled in using advanced financial software platforms for general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and reporting purposes
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines
