The Chief Financial Officer (Multi-site) will become an extension to the clients'/business owners finance department and an integral part of their operations and growth. This position will manage several different business clients' accounting duties with travel to client sites as necessary.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Required skills, abilities, and knowledge:
Client Relationship & Service:
- Deliver high-quality fractional CFO client service to a portfolio of clients in multiple industries
- Deeply curious about understanding clients — their business patterns, motivations, and the underlying realities shaping their decisions
- Provide the client with guidance, support, and strategic advice through consultative conversation — You ask insight-generating questions that help clients surface what truly matters
- A natural guide who prefers leading over persuading or dictating — You help clients make sense of their financial situation and see new possibilities clearly
- Long-term value focused — You think like a strategic partner, not a service provider; you want the work to matter for the client, the business, and the community
Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
- An intentional listener — You listen for meaning, gaps, and insight, not just data points; you create conversations where clients feel understood and challenged in constructive ways
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with high emotional intelligence — You can read client dynamics, recognize resistance as information (not rejection), and adapt your approach accordingly

Leadership & Team Management:
- Leadership skills with the ability to delegate, motivate and inspire team members
- Oversee and collaborate with accounting team, for clients and internally
Financial & Technical Responsibilities:
- Execute the company's financial strategy and manage the financial actions
- Responsible for cash flow management, financial planning, and financial statement analysis to support informed client decision-making.
- Work with the accounting firm relating to the audit, taxes, etc.

Qualifications & Logistics:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in public accounting, private industry or advisory roles
- Prior experience in a controller, CFO or fractional CFO capacity
- Strong understanding of small-to-mid-sized business financial operations
· Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license-required
- QuickBooks Online Certification
- Ability to travel to different client sites in the tri-state area
- The discipline, focus, and workspace to periodically work from home
Applicable skills, abilities, and knowledge:
• Extensive accounting knowledge – Financial reporting, Strategy, Business streamlining – Expert level
• QuickBooks – both desktop and online versions – Expert level
• QuickBooks/Xero – implementation of systems and integration with 3rd party applications – Advanced level
• Excel – Expert level
• Process Efficiency – Assess operating procedures, recommend and execute improvements – Expert level
Preferred skills, abilities, and knowledge:
• Prior experience working for a CPA firm
• Prior experience sitting in the CFO seat
• Entrepreneurial experience

Compensation & Growth Opportunity:
· Base Salary, commensurate with experience, $120,000 - $145,000
