Business Systems Analyst

Position Summary
AlarMax Distributors is seeking a highly organized, analytical, and technology-driven Business Systems Analyst to support the continued growth and optimization of our enterprise business systems. This individual will work closely with the Senior Systems Manager to maintain core business applications, improve system performance, manage enterprise data, and support strategic technology initiatives across the organization.
The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and leveraging technology to make organizations more efficient. This position will play an integral role in maintaining data integrity, supporting system enhancements, coordinating projects, and ensuring our technology platforms continue to support AlarMax's strategic growth initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
Business Systems Administration
- Assist in the administration and maintenance of enterprise business applications including ERP, CRM, Business Intelligence, HRIS, and other operational systems.
- Support system upgrades, enhancements, testing, and new feature deployments.
- Maintain user security, permissions, and system configuration.
- Assist with software integrations and third-party applications.
Data Management & Governance
- Maintain master data including customers, vendors, products, pricing, inventory attributes, and user records.
- Monitor data quality and proactively identify inconsistencies.
- Develop and maintain standards for data governance and accuracy.
- Support data imports, exports, cleansing, and validation activities.
System Improvements
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes.
- Document business processes and recommend system improvements.
- Assist with workflow development and operational efficiencies.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across all departments.
Project & Program Management
- Coordinate enterprise system projects from planning through implementation.
- Track project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and action items.
- Work cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and People & Culture.
- Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) and implementation planning.
Reporting & Analytics
- Develop and maintain dashboards and operational reporting.
- Support Business Intelligence initiatives.
- Assist departments with reporting requirements and KPI development.
- Validate reporting accuracy and improve reporting efficiency.
User Support & Training
- Serve as a resource for internal users regarding business applications.
- Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate resolutions.
- Develop documentation, training materials, and standard operating procedures.
- Assist with onboarding and training users on new system functionality.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field preferred.
Experience
- 2–5 years supporting business systems, ERP platforms, CRM systems, or enterprise applications.
- Experience with ERP systems (Epicor Prophet 21 preferred).
- Experience with CRM, Business Intelligence, or HRIS platforms preferred.
- Distribution, wholesale, manufacturing, or supply chain experience is a plus.
Technical Skills
Preferred experience with:
- Epicor Prophet 21
- Epicor Grow BI
- White Cup CRM
- Microsoft 365
- Microsoft Excel (advanced)
- Power BI or similar reporting tools
- SQL (preferred but not required)
- Data import/export tools
- Workflow automation platforms
- AI productivity tools
