Role Description The Fractional Finance Director / Chief Financial Officer will oversee the financial strategy and management of Aimee Bridal Couture while working on-site full time in Glasgow. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and monitoring budgets, managing cash flow, and producing accurate financial reports to support decision-making. The role will oversee financial controls, compliance, and risk management, and will collaborate with the owner and management team on pricing, margin analysis, and stock investment decisions. The Finance Director / CFO will also optimize financial processes, support forecasting and long-term planning, and provide clear insights on business performance to drive sustainable growth.
Qualifications
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Experience in financial strategy, business planning, and performance analysis for small or retail-based businesses.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, compliance, and risk management.
- Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet tools; ability to design and maintain financial models and dashboards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work on-site in a retail environment, collaborate with a small team, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CA) or equivalent experience in a senior finance role; experience in fashion, retail, or luxury goods is advantageous.
