What You’ll Do
Function as the sub-region (Coverage: India, Singapore, Malysia) expert and on-the-ground resource for import and export operations and compliance matters. Develops and maintains thorough and current knowledge of international trade laws and regulations applicable to the activities of the various business units.
Achieve the regional goals and objectives for Global Trade Compliance specifically for India, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia trade programs including supply chain security programs
Function as the liaison for India, Singapore, Malaysia to the Corporate Trade Department in developing, implementing and governing international trade policies to ensure full compliance with In-country and international regulations regarding import and export of material, information and technology.
- Develop and deploy all applicable compliance processes and procedures in conjunction with various Trade Compliance functions within the specified region. (India + other SEA countries)
- Evaluate Eaton Entities in India + specified countries, compliance status with various regulatory bodies including Customs, Revenue and Tax authorities, Military proliferation, Controlled materials and licensing, and trusted shipper programs including World Customs Organization supply chain security program and Regional AEO program.
- Develops and directs business process improvement methodologies and framework.
- Communicate policy, procedures and economic issues that affect Eaton operations worldwide. Assist in providing training, advice and guidance to other areas throughout the enterprise as necessary.
- Provides analytical and tactical support to implement processes and procedures for new business activity including acquisitions, initiatives and projects.
- Develop clear understanding of various Eaton disciplines (Tax, Legal, Finance, Supply Chain) and operational disciplines as they relate to international activities.
- Functional manage the Customs operator in the plants and coordinate with the APAC trade management organization and other regional trade managers to fellow Trade Compliance subject matter.
Qualifications
Bachelor
8+ years in Trade Compliance & in global environments.
Skills
Preferred Certification in Trade management, Business Law
Excellent communication & presentation skills to work with Global, regional & local compliance teams across the globe.
