Position Overview
The
VP of Sales Operations is responsible for developing and executing sales operations strategies that improve productivity, strengthen execution, and drive results across the sales organization.
The VP partners closely with Sales & Distribution, Underwriting, Marketing, Claims, Product, and IT teams to optimize processes, leverage technology, and deliver meaningful business insights. This role also leads sales operations, analytics, performance reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives that support WCF's long-term growth objectives. This is a full-time, exempt position based out of WCF's Sandy, Utah headquarters reporting to the SVP, Sales & Distribution.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the enterprise sales operations strategy aligned with Sales & Distribution objectives.
- Translate go-to-market strategy into clear operating processes, priorities, and measurable outcomes across the sales organization.
- Establish standardized sales processes, governance frameworks, and operating rhythms to drive consistency and execution discipline.
- Optimize sales lifecycle efficiency by improving processes and removing friction.
- Develop and manage performance metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to monitor new business, retention, pipeline health, and productivity.
- Oversee CRM and sales technology ecosystem to ensure alignment with business needs, scalability, and data integrity.
- Partner cross-functionally to align sales execution with enterprise capabilities and improve customer and agent experience.
- Partner with IT department to design, prioritize, and deliver transformational projects, leveraging AI to drive innovation, efficiency, and business value.
- Collaborate with Underwriting, Marketing, Claims, and Product teams to ensure alignment between sales strategies and enterprise capabilities.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing sales operations team, establishing clear roles, accountability, and performance expectations.
- Drive sales productivity, execution discipline, and operational visibility across the organization.
- Assemble and deliver clear strategies and insights on performance, engagement, and production.
- Ensure consistent, scalable sales processes and performance management across all regions and channels.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline visibility, and performance reporting.
- Evaluate alternative distribution models and/or integrate merger and acquisition opportunities.
- Deliver executive insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Partner with senior leadership to align sales operations with enterprise growth objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- At least ten years of progressive leadership experience in sales operations, distribution, or insurance operations.
- Deep understanding of commercial P&C insurance products and distribution channels.
- Demonstrated ability to drive operational performance, productivity, and process improvement at scale.
- Experience with CRM platforms, sales analytics, and performance reporting tools.
- Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and operate effectively in a matrixed environment.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.

The expected salary range for this position is 129,900.00-182,600.00. This salary range depends on experience, education, and location for this specific position.
