Sales Operations Analyst – Role Description
The Sales Operations Analyst is a critical enablement role within the sales organization, designed to bring structure, clarity, and execution discipline as the company grows and expands its service offerings.
This role supports outside sales, sales leadership, and inside sales by improving opportunity prioritization and ensuring sales initiatives are executed efficiently. Acting as a central coordination and analytical resource, the position helps ensure that outside sales and leadership have the resources needed to perform.
The Sales Operations Analyst combines strong project management, analytical problem-solving, and CRM expertise to support opportunity management, pricing analysis, RFPs, pilot programs, internal systems, and sales enablement activities. This individual translates complex technical, financial, and market information into clear, actionable insights that help the sales team focus on the right opportunities at the right time.
Success in this role means sales teams feel supported, leadership has reliable data and visibility, and internal projects move forward with consistency and accountability. The role is execution-focused, detail-oriented, and proactive serving as a stabilizing force between strategy, operations, and the field.
Required Technical & Professional Skills
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (Zoho/ZohoOne experience strongly preferred)
- Strong project management and cross-functional coordination capabilities
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pricing models, templates, and lifecycle cost analyses (LCCAs)
- Advanced PowerPoint skills for executive- and customer-facing presentations
- Professional business writing and documentation skills
- Ability to facilitate meetings and coordinate across internal teams
- Ability to read, interpret, and summarize technical documentation
