LHH is assisting our Louisville manufacturing client in their search for a hands-on, strategic, and forward-thinking Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and trusted business partner to the President. Reporting directly to the President, the CFO will oversee all financial operations while helping guide the organization through its next phase of growth and scalability. This role requires an experienced financial leader who can effectively balance day-to-day financial management with long-term strategic planning. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing experience, deep operational finance expertise, and the ability to provide sophisticated financial insights to support continued expansion, banking relationships, and future strategic initiatives.
Role Functions:
- Partner closely with the President and leadership team to develop and execute long-term growth strategies.
- Lead all accounting, finance, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting functions.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and operational metrics to support business decision-making.
- Oversee annual audited financial statements and maintain relationships with external auditors.
- Partner with operations leadership to improve profitability, productivity, cost management, and inventory efficiency.
- Analyze manufacturing performance, margins, pricing strategies, and operational metrics.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Build scalable finance processes and organizational structure to support future growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including senior finance or CFO-level responsibility.
- Strong manufacturing industry experience. Demonstrated success leading finance organizations through periods of significant growth.
- Deep understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and internal controls.
- Experience managing external audits and banking relationships.
- Strong analytical, communication, and business partnering skills.
