Chief Revenue Officer
On Line Design, Inc., is seeking a Chief Revenue Officer for an innovative packaging solutions company in Cincinnati, Ohio offering cutting-edge design and prototyping services to some of the world's most recognized brands. This role will develop and execute a commercial growth strategy that delivers sustainable revenue, profitability, and long-term value — partnering with the executive team to align sales, business development, marketing, and operations around a unified go-to-market strategy, while building executive-level customer relationships and scalable systems that support growth.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute commercial growth strategies and go-to-market plans, evaluating market opportunities, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and organizational capabilities.
- Advise leadership on market trends, customer insights, competitive intelligence, and emerging growth opportunities, and build business cases for new markets, products, pricing, and partnerships.
- Partner with the CFO to develop revenue forecasts, commercial budgets, KPIs, and executive dashboards that support data-driven decisions.
- Own commercial pipeline performance, forecasting accuracy, territory coverage, and quarterly revenue achievement.
- Establish sales methodologies and drive continuous improvement using Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) principles.
- Develop global growth and geographic expansion strategies, and team-selling approaches that build client relationships with the organization rather than individual reps.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance management, succession planning, and leadership development across the commercial organization.
- Coach and develop commercial leaders, set clear performance expectations, and hold the team accountable for business objectives.
- Build career pathways and a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration among Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Project Management, Operations, Quality, Procurement, and Production.
Relationship Management
- Own executive-level relationships with key accounts, building trust while identifying opportunities for expansion, retention, and long-term partnership.
- Establish strategic account management frameworks — including standardized account planning, quarterly business reviews, and executive sponsorship programs — that position the company as a trusted strategic partner.
- Develop channel partner and vendor relationship strategies that expand market reach and create mutually beneficial partnerships.
Go-to-Market Excellence
- Partner with the CFO on pricing strategy, margin expectations, and financial performance objectives, and resolve escalated commercial or payment issues with Finance and Operations.
- Partner with the CMO to align market positioning, brand strategy, messaging, sales enablement, and target account strategies.
- Partner with Operations on capacity planning, demand forecasting, and evaluation of non-standard opportunities to ensure customer commitments can be delivered profitably.
- Standardize customer onboarding processes and lead win/loss analysis to strengthen competitive positioning and future sales strategy.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership skills with a client-focused, partnership mentality
- Knowledge of packaged goods
- Proven track record of revenue growth
- Ability to navigate acquisition processes
