Chief Financial Officer, Business Unit

Our client is a leading B2B distribution organization and part of a large global enterprise. The company is seeking a strategic and operationally oriented Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance function for a $200M-$300M business unit undergoing a significant transformation and performance improvement initiative.
This executive will serve as a key business partner to the President and leadership team, driving financial strategy, operational excellence, and commercial decision support across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all finance and accounting activities, including FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, controls, and cash flow management.
- Partner closely with commercial, operational, and supply chain leaders to improve profitability and drive business performance.
- Develop reporting, KPIs, and analytics that enhance decision-making and accountability across the organization.
- Support turnaround initiatives focused on margin improvement, working capital optimization, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth.
- Strengthen financial processes, forecasting capabilities, reporting rigor, and internal controls.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the President and executive leadership team on strategic business decisions.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 20+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience.
- Significant experience in FP&A, financial planning, forecasting, and business performance management.
- Strong commercial finance background with demonstrated ability to influence business decisions and drive profitability.
- Proven track record supporting business transformation, turnaround, or performance improvement initiatives.
- Experience within distribution, wholesale, or a related business-to-business environment strongly preferred.
- Ability to operate as both a strategic leader and hands-on business partner.
