Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, on-site role based in Georgetown, ON. The CFO will lead the overall financial strategy for KUTHALA GROUP and its divisions, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing financial reporting and analysis, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, and monitoring cash flow and capital requirements. The CFO will collaborate closely with executive leadership on investment decisions, risk management, and financing structures, while maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. This role also involves building and leading the finance team, optimizing financial systems and processes, and providing clear, data-driven insights to support strategic business growth.
Qualifications
- Strong finance and financial planning skills, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation.
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing financial statements, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and compliance requirements.
- Expertise in financial reporting and performance analysis, with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.
- Advanced analytical skills, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and risk assessment.
- Extensive leadership experience in senior finance roles, preferably as a CFO or equivalent in a multi-division or multi-industry organization.
- Proven track record managing cash flow, debt structures, and relationships with lenders, auditors, and financial institutions.
- Experience in transportation, equipment, real estate, or related sectors is an asset.
- Professional designation such as CPA, CFA, or MBA in Finance or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills, with the ability to operate effectively on-site in a fast-paced environment.
