Position Overview
This is not a traditional CFO role. This position is expected to begin immediately. Compensation will initially be deferred and tied to capital successfully raised, combined with a Founding Equity Ownership stake, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time executive leadership role as funding is secured. Candidates may be based remotely, with a strong preference for Florida-based leaders to collaborate closely with executive leadership across key maritime hubs.
Working directly with the Chairman of LaVopa Maritime and the President of Endless Horizon Charters, you will lead the Company's capital formation efforts by refining financial strategy, leveraging investor relationships, and helping secure institutional and private investment. You will also establish the financial infrastructure needed to support rapid growth. The ideal candidate brings executive presence, urgency, and the confidence to engage sophisticated investors.
About Us
LaVopa Maritime, through its operating company Endless Horizon Charters, is building a premium luxury yacht charter platform with planned expansion across multiple strategic U.S. markets. As we prepare for a seven or eight-figure capital raise to fund fleet acquisitions, operational infrastructure, and national growth, we are seeking a Founding Fractional Chief Financial Officer to join our executive team. This is a startup leadership opportunity for a capital strategist who can help secure investment, build scalable financial infrastructure, and position the company for long-term growth.
Primary ResponsibilitiesCapital Formation
● Co-lead the Company's eight-figure capital raise from strategy through closing.
● Lead investor presentations, negotiations, due diligence, and closing activities.
● Present the Company's financial strategy with confidence and credibility.
Investor Development
● Leverage existing relationships with private equity firms, family offices, institutional investors, high-net-worth individuals, specialty marine lenders, and strategic capital partners.
● Identify and introduce qualified funding sources capable of supporting rapid growth.
Financial Strategy
● Review and strengthen financial models, forecasts, and investor materials.
● Structure debt, equity, and hybrid financing solutions that maximize enterprise value while protecting founder interests.
● Advise executive leadership on financing strategy, capital allocation, growth planning, acquisitions, and financial risk.
Transaction Execution & Financial Infrastructure
● Structure and execute financing transactions with legal counsel and outside advisors.
● Establish scalable accounting, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, treasury, and internal control systems.
● Build investor-grade financial reporting, governance, and audit-ready processes.
Success in This Role
Within your first year, you will:
● Help successfully close the Company's initial institutional capital raise.
● Build investor-ready financial systems and reporting.
● Position the Company for disciplined expansion into multiple U.S. markets.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
● Proven success leading or materially contributing to $10M+ institutional or private capital raises.
● An established network of private equity firms, family offices, institutional investors, lenders, or strategic capital partners.
● Significant experience structuring debt, equity, and hybrid financing transactions.
● Executive presence with exceptional communication and investor presentation skills.
● Experience building financial infrastructure within startup or high-growth companies.
● Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, cash management, accounting systems, and investor reporting.
● Experience in luxury hospitality, yacht charter, marine finance, marina operations, transportation, or other asset-intensive businesses is strongly preferred.
● Ability to begin immediately and actively participate in the Company's capital raise.
● CPA, CFA, MBA, or equivalent executive finance experience preferred.
