About Graviron
Graviron Aerospace is building the next generation of reusable autonomous orbital vehicles for post-launch space services.
Our first platform, Orbit Keeper, is designed to support inspection, servicing, orbital relocation, hosted payload missions, and other in-space operations. Our long-term vision is to build scalable space logistics infrastructure that makes operating in orbit more accessible, flexible, and cost-effective.
We're an early-stage aerospace company building from first principles. At this stage, every person we bring onto the team has a meaningful impact on how the company operates, grows, and executes.
We're looking for a Head of Business Operations who can help build the operational foundation of Graviron from the ground up.
About the Role
As the Head of Business Operations, you'll work directly with the Founder & CEO to keep Graviron's day-to-day operations organized, efficient, and moving forward.
This is a highly hands-on role. You'll own the systems, processes, coordination, and operational workflows that allow our technical team and leadership to focus on building the company and our spacecraft.
You'll work across functions including company operations, finance and administrative coordination, hiring and onboarding, vendors and suppliers, documentation, internal systems, partnerships, and cross-functional execution.
You won't be joining an established operations department with predefined processes. You'll help build those processes yourself.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, bringing structure to ambiguity, closing open loops, and figuring out how to make a young company operate better every day.
What You'll Own
Business & Company Operations
- Own and coordinate Graviron's day-to-day business operations.
- Establish and maintain internal processes, workflows, and operating procedures.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement practical solutions.
- Keep important company tasks, deadlines, and follow-ups organized.
- Coordinate across technical, business, and leadership functions.
- Build lightweight systems that allow the company to operate efficiently as the team grows.
Finance & Administrative Operations
- Coordinate with external accountants, legal counsel, payroll providers, and other professional service providers.
- Maintain operational records, invoices, contracts, subscriptions, and company documentation.
- Support budgeting, expense tracking, and internal financial administration.
- Help maintain visibility into company spending and recurring obligations.
- Coordinate corporate administrative requirements with appropriate external providers.
You won't be expected to act as the company's accountant or lawyer. Your responsibility is to make sure those functions are coordinated and nothing falls through the cracks.
Vendor & Supplier Management
- Identify and coordinate vendors, suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
- Manage vendor communications, documentation, timelines, and follow-ups.
- Support procurement of equipment, software, services, and other resources.
- Maintain organized records of vendor relationships and agreements.
- Help negotiate and manage operational contracts where appropriate.
People Operations & Hiring
- Support the company's hiring process as Graviron grows.
- Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate communication.
- Maintain hiring pipelines and recruiting workflows.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Ensure new team members receive the necessary documentation, tools, accounts, and access.
- Help establish lightweight people and internal operating processes as the company grows.
Internal Systems & Documentation
- Own and improve internal tools, systems, and workflows.
- Maintain organized company documentation and operational records.
- Help establish standards for file organization, access management, recurring processes, and internal communication.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive administrative work.
- Build simple dashboards, trackers, and reporting systems when useful.
Executive & Cross-Functional Support
- Work directly with the Founder & CEO on high-priority operational initiatives.
- Track important action items and ensure follow-through.
- Coordinate meetings, follow-ups, and cross-functional deliverables.
- Help turn decisions into clear action plans and execution.
- Take ownership of operational projects from planning through completion.
- Step into problems that don't clearly belong to another function and figure out how to move them forward.
What You'll Do in Your First 90 Days
Your initial focus will be on building a strong operational foundation for Graviron.
You may be responsible for:
- Auditing our existing operational workflows and identifying gaps.
- Organizing company-wide documentation and internal systems.
- Establishing recurring operating processes.
- Building vendor and contractor management workflows.
- Improving our hiring and onboarding processes.
- Creating basic operational reporting and tracking systems.
- Coordinating finance, legal, HR, and other external service providers.
- Establishing systems that allow the engineering team to operate without unnecessary administrative friction.
- Identifying repetitive processes that can be automated or simplified.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable taking ownership without constant direction.
- Extremely reliable with follow-through.
- Comfortable working across multiple functions.
- Able to operate effectively in an ambiguous, rapidly changing environment.
- A strong communicator who can coordinate with engineers, executives, vendors, and external partners.
- Naturally inclined to identify problems before they become larger problems.
- Comfortable building processes from scratch rather than inheriting established ones.
- Resourceful and willing to figure things out independently.
- Comfortable using modern productivity and AI tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Excited about joining an early-stage aerospace company and helping build the organization alongside the product.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Management, Finance, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2+ years of experience in business operations, startup operations, program coordination, consulting, project management, or a related function.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects, stakeholders, or operational workflows simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project-management skills.
- Proficiency with modern productivity and collaboration tools.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with incomplete information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working at an early-stage startup.
- Experience building operational processes from scratch.
- Experience with vendor management, procurement, finance operations, or corporate administration.
- Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, or people operations.
- Experience working with aerospace, defense, engineering, manufacturing, or other deep-tech companies.
- Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, project-management platforms, CRM systems, accounting platforms, or similar business software.
- Experience using automation and AI tools to improve operational workflows.
What This Role Is Not
This is not a traditional administrative assistant role.
You will not simply be managing calendars, scheduling meetings, or completing repetitive administrative tasks.
We're looking for someone who can own problems, build systems, coordinate people, and improve how the company operates.
At the same time, this is not a purely strategic strategy role. At Graviron's current stage, you'll need to be comfortable getting into the details and doing the work yourself when necessary.
Why Join Graviron?
As one of Graviron's earliest business team members, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Work directly with the Founder & CEO.

- Build systems that will scale with the company.
- Take on responsibilities across multiple areas of the business.
- Grow into a larger operational leadership role as Graviron scales.
- Help build the organization behind the next generation of space infrastructure.
