Position Overview
We are seeking an accomplished, commercially minded Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy, capital markets activities, investor relations, banking relationships, and global financial operations of a publicly traded company with significant manufacturing and energy operations.
The CFO will serve as a key strategic partner to the CEO, Board of Directors, executive leadership team, investors, lenders, and other external stakeholders. This individual must have a strong track record working within a public-company environment, including capital raising, investor communications, financial reporting, corporate finance, banking relationships, and capital allocation.
The ideal candidate will combine deep technical financial expertise with strong commercial judgment and executive presence. Experience managing complex, multinational organizations—particularly businesses with manufacturing, industrial, energy, infrastructure, or related operations—is highly preferred.
This is a high-impact leadership position for an executive who can help accelerate growth, strengthen the balance sheet, optimize capital structure, and build long-term value for shareholders.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Executive Leadership
- Develop and execute the company's global financial strategy in partnership with the CEO and Board of Directors.
- Lead long-term financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and capital allocation.
- Provide strategic financial insight regarding acquisitions, investments, expansion, restructuring, and other major corporate initiatives.
- Establish financial priorities that support profitable growth, operational efficiency, and shareholder value creation.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Board, and senior leadership team.
Investor Relations & Capital Markets
- Lead the company's relationships with institutional investors, analysts, shareholders, and the broader investment community.
- Develop and communicate a compelling financial and strategic narrative for the company.
- Oversee earnings releases, investor presentations, financial guidance, conference participation, and investor communications.
- Build strong relationships with equity research analysts and institutional investors.
- Maintain credibility and transparency with the capital markets while effectively communicating the company's strategy, performance, opportunities, and risks.
- Lead or support equity offerings, debt financing, private placements, strategic investments, and other capital markets transactions.
Banking & Financing Relationships
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial banks, investment banks, private credit providers, institutional lenders, and other financial institutions.
- Lead negotiations for credit facilities, syndicated loans, project financing, equipment financing, working capital facilities, and other forms of corporate financing.
- Evaluate financing alternatives and optimize the company's cost of capital.
- Maintain a diversified and strategic banking network capable of supporting the company's global growth.
- Work closely with lenders and financial institutions on covenant management, liquidity, refinancing, and strategic financing initiatives.
Capital Raising & Corporate Development
- Lead the company's efforts to raise capital to support organic growth, acquisitions, strategic investments, and working capital requirements.
- Evaluate and execute debt and equity financing strategies.
- Partner with the CEO and Board on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, divestitures, and other corporate development activities.
- Develop financial models and investment analyses supporting major strategic decisions.
- Assess acquisition targets, financing structures, returns on invested capital, and post-transaction integration economics.
Public Company Finance & Governance
- Oversee the company's financial reporting, controls, treasury, tax, audit, and accounting functions.
- Ensure timely and accurate SEC and other applicable regulatory reporting.
- Partner with the General Counsel, external auditors, audit committee, and Board on public-company compliance and governance matters.
- Maintain a strong internal control environment and promote financial discipline across the organization.
- Oversee risk management related to financial markets, liquidity, foreign exchange, interest rates, commodities, and other material exposures.
Global Operations & Manufacturing Finance
- Provide financial leadership across a geographically diverse organization with manufacturing and energy operations.
- Develop financial strategies that improve margins, working capital, asset utilization, and return on invested capital.
- Partner with operational leaders to improve manufacturing economics, supply-chain performance, procurement, capital expenditures, and productivity.
- Establish consistent financial performance metrics and accountability across global business units.
- Balance short-term operational performance with long-term strategic investment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA, CPA, CFA, or other advanced qualification preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including significant experience at the CFO, divisional CFO, Treasurer, investment banking, corporate finance, or comparable senior executive level.
- Demonstrated experience as a senior finance executive within a publicly traded company.
- Extensive experience with investor relations, capital markets, and institutional investors.
- Proven track record of raising significant amounts of debt and/or equity capital.
- Deep relationships with commercial banks, investment banks, institutional lenders, private capital providers, and other financial institutions.
- Experience managing complex multinational organizations and cross-border financial operations.
- Strong experience in manufacturing, energy, industrials, infrastructure, or other asset-intensive businesses.
- Experience with M&A, strategic investments, joint ventures, and corporate development.
- Strong understanding of SEC reporting, public-company governance, internal controls, and financial compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale organizations and develop high-performing finance teams.

Key Success Measures
During the first 12–24 months, the CFO will be expected to:

Compensation
The company will offer a competitive executive compensation package consisting of base salary, annual incentive compensation, and long-term equity-based compensation, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and performance.
