Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
GAV | Executive Leadership | Multi-Entity / Portfolio Environment
About the Opportunity
We are building companies designed to scale—and we're looking for a CFO who wants to help build the financial engine behind them.
GAV is a multi-venture organization that builds, operates, and invests in growing businesses.
We are looking for a strategic Chief Financial Officer who wants to be more than the head of finance. This person will partner closely with the Founder and executive leadership to improve profitability, strengthen cash flow, allocate capital intelligently, and build the financial infrastructure required to support GAV and its portfolio companies as they scale.
Our operating philosophy is:
Principle First. KPI Second.
We establish the principles that should drive the business, translate them into measurable outcomes, and build the systems and accountability required to execute.
The right CFO will bring that philosophy into finance.
This is not a role for someone who simply reports what happened.
We want someone who helps determine what should happen next.

Who Will Thrive Here
You are a strategist, operator, and builder.
You can discuss long-term capital allocation in the morning and dig into a working-capital problem that afternoon.
You don't hide behind spreadsheets. You investigate, challenge assumptions, simplify complexity, and drive decisions.
You understand that finance exists not merely to report the numbers—but to improve them.
You are comfortable operating alongside entrepreneurial leaders who move quickly, while bringing the financial discipline required to ensure that speed creates sustainable value.
And above all, you think like an owner.
How Success Will Be Measured
Success will include:
- Sustainable positive cash flow
- EBITDA and profitability improvement
- Working capital performance
- Forecast and budget accuracy
- Financial reporting accuracy and timeliness
- Return on invested capital (ROIC)
- Cost and operational efficiency
- Portfolio-level financial visibility
- Strong financial controls and compliance
- Finance automation and process improvement
- Development of a high-performing finance team
Ultimately, the question is simple:
Is GAV becoming financially stronger, more profitable, more predictable, and better at allocating capital?
Why GAV?
This is an opportunity to do more than inherit a finance department.
You will help build the financial architecture of an institution.
You'll have meaningful influence across company strategy, capital allocation, portfolio performance, financial systems, investment decisions, and executive decision-making.
We're looking for someone who wants responsibility—not simply authority.
Someone who wants to build.
Someone who wants their work to compound.
And someone who, years from now, wants to be able to say:
“I helped build the financial foundation that made this possible.”
