We are supporting a global consumer business on a highly confidential search for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its regional leadership team. This is a senior, commercially focused Finance leadership role with responsibility across multiple emerging markets in Asia and beyond.
The Opportunity
The CFO will act as a strategic business partner to the CEO and senior leadership team, providing strong financial leadership while remaining close to the commercial and operational agenda.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading regional Finance strategy, operations and governance across multiple markets.
- Driving treasury, liquidity, cash flow and working-capital management.
- Managing banking relationships, financing, Letters of Credit (LC), FX exposure and hedging.
- Supporting business growth while maintaining financial discipline and strong risk management.
- Partnering closely with commercial and operational leaders across Asia and emerging markets.
- Translating Finance insights into business and strategic decisions, including M&A initiatives.
- Managing regional complexity, multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Strengthening Finance operating models, controls and overall effectiveness.
- Providing senior-level leadership and influence across the organisation and with the Board.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Proven CFO / senior Finance leadership experience in FMCG, consumer, trading, distribution or a related sector.
- Strong hands-on and commercially minded approach, with the ability to move beyond traditional Finance / governance responsibilities.
- Meaningful emerging-market and international exposure.
- Strong understanding of banking relationships, financing, LC, FX and hedging.
- Experience managing Finance across multiple markets / entities and complex operating environments.
- Strong commercial understanding of working capital, margins, cash flow and business performance.
- A stable career track record with evidence of long-term tenure, progression and increasing responsibility.
- Strong stakeholder management, leadership and influencing skills, with the credibility to operate at senior-management and Board level.
- FMCG / consumer experience is preferred; broader consumer-sector experience, including alcohol & spirits, will also be considered.
