Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, hybrid role based in New York, NY, with flexibility for partial work from home. The CFO will oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, cash flow management, and long-term financial planning to support strategic growth and sustainability. Daily responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, leading financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records. The CFO will provide data-driven insights and analytical support to the executive team, contribute to pricing and revenue strategy, and evaluate partnerships and investments. This role also includes building and managing a small finance function, implementing effective controls, and partnering cross-functionally with product, operations, and sales to align financial goals with business objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance and Financial Planning, with experience developing budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial strategies.
- Expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including preparing, interpreting, and presenting financial results to stakeholders.
- Advanced Analytical Skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Proven experience in senior finance leadership roles, preferably in startups, SaaS, or marketplace platforms.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to financial operations and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to build scalable financial processes, controls, and systems in a growing organization.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA is a plus.
