Role Description The Consulting Chief Financial Officer will provide strategic financial leadership and oversight for Akava Luxury’s manufacturing and retail operations. This contract, on-site role based in New Delhi involves developing and refining financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts to support growth and profitability. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting financial statements, overseeing financial reporting, monitoring cash flow, and advising on cost optimization and investment decisions. The Consulting CFO will collaborate with the leadership team on pricing, margin analysis, and capital planning, as well as ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The role also includes mentoring the finance team, improving financial processes and controls, and providing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance with proven experience in senior or executive financial leadership roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in Financial Planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial strategy.
- Proficiency in preparing, analyzing, and interpreting Financial Statements and Financial Reporting.
- Advanced Analytical Skills for evaluating business performance, assessing risk, and supporting data-driven decisions.
- Experience in manufacturing or consumer goods sectors, preferably in fashion or luxury products.
- Thorough understanding of relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements in India.
- Ability to design and improve internal financial controls, processes, and systems.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, CMA, or MBA in Finance strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site in New Delhi and commit to a contract-based engagement.
