Responsible for supporting achievement of wholesale, retail, inventory and profitability objectives across the Powersports and Power Equipment/Marine businesses. The role analyzes sales performance, market conditions and competitive activity; supports national sales and marketing program planning; and coordinates operational execution across internal teams, Zones, dealers and external partners. This position translates data and business activity into clear insights, recommendations, communications and management materials that support timely decision-making and effective execution.
Principal Functional Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain recurring retail, wholesale, inventory, market and profitability reporting across Powersports and Power Equipment/Marine.
- Analyze performance against plan, identify risks and opportunities, investigate business drivers and prepare recommendations or countermeasures for management review.
- Support national and regional sales program planning, implementation and post-program evaluation, including business cases, scenarios, timelines, tracking and performance analysis.
- Support Retail Sales Objectives, dealer order and allocation processes, demand planning, monthly sales and production planning reviews, and inventory flow recommendations.
- Prepare accurate and concise presentations, meeting materials, key messages and recommendations for program meetings, monthly business reviews, sales and production planning, and executive discussions.
- Prepare dealer communications, bulletins, pricing materials, program information and launch support materials in alignment with approved sales direction and program terms.
- Review advertising, digital, show events, training and point-of-sale activities to ensure marketing execution supports current business priorities and sales objectives.
- Monitor competitive programs, market activity, dealer feedback and industry conditions; summarize implications and provide insight to support sales, marketing and inventory decisions.
- Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Product Planning, Sales and Production Planning, Finance, Zones and support groups to align priorities, resolve issues and support timely execution.
- Apply PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) principles to improve reporting, workflows, controls and business processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, Finance, Analytics or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- One to three years of experience in sales operations, marketing, business analysis, reporting or a related role.
- Experience analyzing sales or business performance, working with large datasets, preparing recommendations and coordinating deliverables across multiple stakeholders.
- Automotive, powersports, power equipment, marine, dealer-network or consumer-durables experience is considered an asset.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, data analysis, charting and report development.
- Strong Microsoft PowerPoint and Word skills; experience with business intelligence, enterprise reporting or data visualization tools is an asset.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, attention to detail and business judgement.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into practical insights and recommendations.
- Strong planning, organization, initiative, accountability and adaptability, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong English communication skills; French language skills are encouraged based on business requirements.
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships with the Marketing & National Operations team, Sales and Production Planning, Product Planning, Advertising, Events, Training, Finance, Legal, Sales Support, Zones, dealers, vendors, agencies, partners and industry contacts.
- Communicates analysis, program details, business priorities and recommendations through meetings, presentations, email and telephone, tailoring information for management, cross-functional teams, Zones, dealers and external partners.
- Supports issue resolution, follow-up and alignment across stakeholders to ensure reporting, program, launch and operational activities are completed accurately and on time.
HIRING PRACTICES
The salary range for this position is $72,921 - $86,593 annually. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of job-related factors, including education, experience, knowledge, and skill set.
This is an on-site with occasional work-from-home position that requires employees to work on-site four days per week with the opportunity to work-from-home one day per week (with a dedicated workspace at the assigned company office).
