About ORI
ORI is the S&OP excellence platform trusted by some of the world's best-known brands — including a global beverage system, a leading winery, and a global sauce and vinegar company. We combine 30 years of practitioner S&OP expertise with a modern SaaS platform: source-agnostic data harmonization, governed agentic AI decision support, and a methodology that helps companies reach and sustain mature sales & operations planning — faster, and without ripping out the systems they already own.
The role
This is the operational engine behind a founder-led sales motion. You will work directly with ORI's CEO every day: researching target accounts, preparing meeting briefs, shipping same-day follow-ups, keeping our deal pipeline honest, and coordinating the customer proof assets our deals run on. You will not carry a closing quota — you will make every hour of the CEO's selling time count. For the right person, this role is a launchpad toward owning deals.
What you'll own
- Account research & deal briefs. For every target account: org charts, systems landscape, trigger events, pain hypotheses, warm-path mapping, and a drafted first-touch email ready for the CEO's light edit.
- Pipeline evidence & CRM discipline. Every active deal carries a dated next step, a named contact, quantified plan, and a stage that reflects reality. You run the data side of the weekly pipeline review — nothing stale survives the week.
- Meeting preparation & follow-through. Briefs delivered 24 hours before every customer call; notes, action items, and follow-up materials out the same day after.
- Deal logistics. Scheduling, proposal and SOW assembly, reference coordination, demo-environment readiness checks, and pilot/diagnostic paperwork.
- Proof asset coordination. Project-manage case studies, customer reference videos, and comparison pages with contract writers and designers.
- Partner administration. Maintain the partner register, track partner-sourced introductions, and enforce the rule that no unnamed opportunity enters the pipeline.
What this role is not
It is not a closing role (initially), not a content-marketing role, and not a strategy role. It is execution leverage for a founder-led motion — with a clear growth path for someone who proves they can run it.
Who thrives here
- 3–5 years in sales support, SDR/BDR with an operations lean, deal desk, or chief-of-staff-style work — B2B SaaS preferred; supply chain exposure a strong plus
- Writes clearly and fast — your work goes out under the CEO's name after a light edit
- Genuinely organized: you find real satisfaction in a CRM where every field is true
- Fluent with modern tools (Notion, Excel/Sheets, CRM) and AI-assisted research — you'll use them heavily
- Direct and low-ego: you surface bad news about a deal early rather than narrate activity
Success at 90 days
- 100% of active deals have current, dated next steps and accurate stages
- Every CEO customer meeting arrives with a brief and leaves with same-day follow-up
- The named-account pursuit tracker is live and current; at least three discovery meetings supported end-to-end
- Two customer proof assets (case study or reference) shipped
Compensation & logistics
$70,000–$90,000 base plus a performance bonus tied to supported-meeting and evidence-quality metrics. Salt Lake City area preferred for in-person collaboration with the CEO.
